23. "Sunny nobility".
You know, a person has to just sit there, mouth agape, frozen, for a few moments, on hearing this phrase applied to... George W. Bush.

Then slowly one's brain, as if recovering from an electrical shock, begins to move again, and then, in seconds, the following ensues:

I still want to believe that I misunderstood him. Tweety speaks notoriously fast, and I want to believe he was actually saying, "Sonny has no ability".

3. You know, I never really tracked him as you did, but I've
thought for a while that this is his way of being balanced. Pick on the Pubs one day and on the Dems the next.

6. Saying something's black one day, and white the next...
Saying something's black one day, and white the next, when it's really gray, isn't the truth. It isn't fair. It isn't balanced. Both are lies.

He needs to stop jacking off into different directions and start acting like a journalist for once.

9. Damn, Pat just showed his true colors there.. Not good for him.
Ron kicked his ass with common sense and Pat just couldn't understand why fake news and propaganda is bad for our country's image as the beacon of truth and freedom.

16. Yep, the old fascist is revealed
Quite the impassioned defense of propaganda. "During wartime" only, of course. Problem is, with the war on terror, we're ALWAYS at war.

8. We are teaching the Iraqis about democracy
and I am sure we are using (a translation of) our own Constitution as a training guide.

"Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Remember, little Iraqi kimosabe buddies, it's okay because "Congress did not make a law respecting" the planting of those phony news stories in your hitherto free press! It was the Executive Branch that done it--not Congress! Ha ha! Gotcha!

Pat Buchanan furiously defending the phony news stories, using high-flown comparisons to Ike and WWII. (Well, that falls flat...) Ron Reagan arguing the other side--the side that we know intuitively is the correct view of this: it's stupid, cheezy, phony, and dishonest to plant these fake news stories, and this is no way to govern.

They do it here so it's OK to do it there...It's the American way!

22. Yes--and with OUR money!
That's the beauty of it! You take the suckers' money, see, and you use THEIR money to oppress and lie to them! It's really a beautiful system, isn't it?

I know that when we all see billionaire Dick Cheney flying around on his ritzy jet (fuel and jet paid for by us), to and from his various high-cost bunkers and ritzy homes(paid for by us), the overdone security of which is also paid for by us, we all feel a righteous tug at our heartstrings as we say, "He's got a right to it!"

15. Good point made by Ron Reagan:
Pat Buchanan's comparison-- to our spreading "misinformation" for the benefit of the Nazis, during WWII--does not make sense. The Nazis were the enemy. "The Iraqis are not our enemies!" says Ron.

The subtext to all this is, of course, always left untouched:

1. Any Iraqi who seeks to foil our plan to control the natural (oil) resources of their country, Iraq, is our enemy. (That's where Bush is REALLY coming from.)

2. We are not there to "spread democracy" or to "foster a democratic government" in Iraq. We are there to create a power structure that can be controlled by us, and which we can then use to stop the chaos so we can get on with pumping the oil, so our profiteers can get on with making their profits.
