Put Honesty Back Into Government.
People want leaders they can trust to tell them the truth. They don't want fabrications, exaggerations, or lies. They want a government that when they say they have a "Clear Skies Initiative", that does not mean it is now OK to put more pollution into our air.

This Administration said they would restore honor and integrity to the White House. They failed miserably. Many people in their own Party do not trust them to tell us the truth.

The sad fact is that they lied about the reasons for taking us to war and then they created other reasons to continue the war with further lies. They have hid this government in a closet. They don't want the people to know what they are doing. They cannot be trusted. That is the major reason we must sweep them out of our White House and our government.

1. I agree, but short of impeachment
they'll be deposed in a few years, anyway.

I think we should keep connecting the entire GOP with this administration, much as they're trying to distance themselves, especially in the '06 elections. Call them Bush Lite, show how they've enabled this disastrous misleadership, show them as the political cowards they are... They're all part of the same big machine.

And then carry that into '08, as well.

2. Absolutely....
They could not have done anything without the Republican Congress and Senate covering for them and driving the getaway car...

3. It's too late with this admin. I really believe
all the lies and indictments attributed to oh so many of these unethical people are going to bite them in the ass terminally. They won't survive what's coming.
I just hope we have a strong enough team to take up the slack.

4. Our problem is...
that we would prefer to talk about healthcare, stem cell research, deficits, etc, rather than talking about the elephant in the room. That being the total dishonesty of these people that cannot be trusted to run our government. They have proved it, from the White House to the Senate to the Congress. They are incapable of governing and incapable of being honest with the American people.

5. Yes, dishonesty is rampant and being recognized. BUT!

How do you get the majority of the House and Senate to admit their party and selections are losers and incapable? That goes back to dishonesty.
A bit of integrity and honesty would go a long way and would be so refreshing!

To me, the additional elephant in the room is Iraq (and I count Katrina as a close second);I wish the Dems would all get it together as one. I'm all for diverse opinions, big tent, etc., but leaders are needed, with one voice.
Liebermann and Clinton aren't helping.

6. But it is the lies and dishonesty about Iraq and Katrina...
that show them to be totally incompetent.

You ask:
"How do you get the majority of the House and Senate to admit their party and selections are losers and incapable?"

You don't get the House and Senate to admit anything. You show them the door if they are dishonest and incompetent - you don't ask for their opinion. They work for you - not the other way around.

7. Ideally. I totally agree, kentuck, but
I meant the majority of the House and Senate that we don't have.

"You show them the door if they are dishonest and incompetent"
I wish it were that easy! They work for me, but I'm a great case in point. My rep is DeLay and my senators are Cornyn and KBH.

8. And Delay is the epitome of a dishonest politician...
It's personal. He's dishonest, perhaps a criminal. That's what we need to tell the voters. We don't need to simply tell them he's for huge taxcuts for his wealthy friends and is against any type of healthcare reform. People vote for the person before they vote for the issues.
