No matter what Murtha says, the troops are coming out...
We simply do not have the troops to replenish those who are on their third tour in Iraq. And the politicians do not have the courage or the stupidity, depending on your point of view, to ask for the draft. So the troops will be coming home. Call it withdrawal, a drawdown, a re-positioning, whatever, but many thousands of troops will not be in Iraq at this time next year. But they will not call it "cut and run"..

1. Prepare for more lies and flimsy cover stories.
Isn't that what you mean? This is a victory for our side -- the side of good sense and peace.

3. When are we going to bring home
Edited on Thu Nov-24-05 12:19 PM by silverlib
Halliburton and the other contractors?

IMO - Bringing home 60,000 troops and scaling back is not bringing home the troops.

And we need to bring home the damn contractors and let these people rebuild their own country - 60% unemployment is enough to cause civil war in any country.

4. naah,
leave Halliburton and contractors over there, bring troops home. See how their bodyguards do without the US Army backing them up.

5. I am for a law that says if we do another Nam, a universal draft must be
implemented. Maybe it will give pause to those that want to invade every other country.
