I've always wondered why this phrase has not been used more often and effectively to illustrate shrub's enormous failings and egregious misrepresentations. I think a dramatically effective ad in the last ('04) election - or in any election - is to run the picture of Shrub in his playtime costume, monkey grin and all (see, i do have an opposable thumb) with that banner in the background, then contrast it with a picture of flag-draped coffins and increasing numbers.
That's only one use of it. On any topic at all - Katrina, the budget, etc. - it would be so easy to create an indelible image of Shrub as Mission Accomplished - Not. Yes, it would be the same type of PR war that he wages, but with a difference - this one would be true.
(Mission Accomplished, New Orleans devastated, "Great Job, Brownie." It's that simple.) (Same thing with budget deficit.)
