The Intentionally Divided States of America: The Cold Civil War
I wrote this post to go in the thread linked here but by the time I went to post it the thread had been locked. I think this is a sufficient starting point for its own thread.


We live in the Intentionally Divided States of America. The federal government's consolidation of power and control is facilitated by intentionally dividing Americans, primarily by creating a rift in the perception of reality. Thus we have the reality-based community and the faith-based community (where faith is not a religious reference but instead describes citizens who accept the official line unquestioningly, on faith).

This rift in the perception of reality is created through many examples of inherent uncertainty:

--unverifiable votes mean we can never know the true outcome of an election and we'll never have unanimous acceptance of the results.

--corporate media will not investigate contradictions and scientific impossibilities in the "official story" of 9/11.

--revisionist history changes everything from rationales for war to basic fiscal data to elementary scientific findings on safe air.

There are MANY more examples. To restate the thesis: those (falsely) claiming to be the legitimate U.S. government at this time strengthen their grip on power by intentionally dividing Americans with inherent uncertainty (along with many "wedge issues," controversial policies and fascist behavior controls, including impugning patriotism).

The Intentionally Divided States of America will remain in a Cold Civil War until either Americans start to ratchet up the violence against each other, in which case the Cold Civil War will have gone hot; or if we are fortunate enough to remain peaceful, we can emerge from the Cold Civil War by sufficiently uniting the intentionally divided people against the federal government in which case the Cold Civil War evolves into a proper Peaceful Revolutionary War.

Proof of a living, breathing document written by men that knew that times and circumstances change, even within America herself. Although the Constitution is the basis for the current model, I can't help but feel that it was the compromise to the principles of the Declaration. Having said this, it was a compromise for the times that the founders found themselves in. America is always and forever more will be in a constant state of becoming. The framers allowed for this fact. That freedom is never definitive or static. That she is defined by those in need of her the most. Their collective cry for release from oppression, tyranny and misrepresentation is the standard by which she will be defined anew. . .as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. . ." in whatever circumstances they may find themselves in, in whatever time in history she shall be called upon by the governed in order to form "A More Perfect Union."

quietly groomed and funded civic employees whose importance in small to large decisions cannot be underestimated. They have groomed judges, lawyers, editors, columnists, news twisters. They have cultivated and funded guest experts - mostly from think tanks where these people figure out how to implement the policies of the wealth barons who are in sync with Constitution changes (Fed Society) and in partnership with foreign governments.

They have been working hard to I.D. us, spy on us, and the Patriot Act even includes snitching. They are trying to or have succeeded in building files on us and they want to record the DNA from all of us. They want us totally submissive and they want to know where we are, what we're doing in our bedrooms, how much money we're spending and on what (and it should be all the stuff that involves entertainment, clothing, and decorating only, to satisfy them - coprporate things, not education about our destiny under them.)

Until we realize that the barons, politicians, military brass, corporations, and reverends and their supporters are only a small per cent of the population and the largest per cent says ENOUGH - they are going to keep on doing what they are doing because they are pumped up - for war, for religious domination, for income chasms, and for our submissiveness. Combined with falling incomes and opportunities, they hope to get us into a slavery state that is going to be helped by - RELIGION and soldiering and policing!

They are exquisitely orchestrated and even though they have a smaller army, they are attacking us now. They are hammering away on many levels and fronts.

The only promising hope I see is that more people are waking up and looking around. From there?

4. You describe the Manchurian Nation
I wrote about this very recently in the GuvWurld blog. The Manchurian Nation is the foundation of the faith-based community. It is all the elements of the establishment, as you pointed out, with a heavy lead from Homeland Security.

This document describes training exercises and planning scenarios used to "develop observance and compliance by public officials, law enforcement, intelligence, military and civilian federal and State employees, etc." I first read about it at the Center For Research and Globalization where Michel Chossudovsky had written this analysis. He describes how these exercises create a shared alternate reality where peaceful demonstrators become terrorists and many other things go upside-down. I had already written Blueprint For Peaceful Revolution and everything in this thread's OP when I came across this material. It gave me greater insight into HOW the faith-based community was created.

There are some bad people with too much power right now, to be sure. But they are relying on many good people who haven't been able to sort out their cognitive dissonance. People trying to do right by their community and country, but who actually undermine these values and goals because they no longer recognize our reality. These are the Manchurians.

I think these are the most important people for us to be reaching out to. If we do not, these are the people likely to take the Cold Civil War hot. What would be better is directing energy at waking them up and snapping them out of their cognitive dissonance. I'd like to see a few progressive psych profs and ad execs think tank that. I'd also like to see art and music address this through relentless comparison, and also exaggeration.

When we can reconnect with these folks we will be uniting in a way that will shift the balance of power between the government and We The People. This is the definition of peaceful revolution.

It's going to take me awhile to read all of this.

Have you brought this up before on DU?

Based on just an initial scan - I think you should post it as often as needed with some introductory material. You, your blog, the author you reference, your gaptly named tag for the pickle we're in, and the Center for Research on Globalization are not exactly household names for me and perhaps not for others (though I haven't had a lot of time lately). I can't even remember reading about a leaked memo from Homeland Security - was it 2004?

We've been duped. Thanks for your part in our education. Thanks for posting.

If you spend any time at the GuvWurld Blog you'll quickly see I have a particular area of focus and lots of continuity. It started in April 2004 when I got the idea for a "no confidence" vote on the conditions of U.S. elections. I finally got the Voter Confidence Resolution (VCR) adopted by Arcata, CA on 7/20/05 after more than a year of working on the wording and building community consensus through a lot of media outreach and public speaking. Blueprint For Peaceful Revolution had been in my head the entire time as the master strategy for how the VCR could have a nationwide impact. I finally completed and circulated that in September 2005, just in time to present at the National Summit To Save Our Elections. As mentioned above, the Manchurian piece came most recently. All of this ties together very coherently, in my opinion, and represents "what GuvWurld is all about."

16. It has become institutionalized
If you read Blueprint For Peaceful Revolution, you'll notice that I don't mention a single political party or politician by name. The intentional divisiveness we have experienced comes as a result of many things, all of which reflect the consolidated power of the establishment. Here are a few more examples:

--instead of many candidates competing for public office on the basis of who has the best ideas, we usually have a "choice" of lesser evils who can barely distinguish themselves (i.e. war vs. "smarter" war)

--corporate media frames such false dichotomies as if they are our only choices (i.e. us vs. them; with us or against us; red states/blue states; culture war)

--laws and policies that have transferred massive amounts of wealth, and protection of same, to the already wealthy while denying the poor many basic rights and other protections (i.e. overtime regs; insurance and medical costs; war on drugs; disenfranchisement)

These are all basic background examples of divisiveness. What this thread (and related links above) is really about is how many other elements of the establishment have been just as divisive without our realizing it. In particular, first responders and emergency personnel, law enforcement and military, local and state government bureaucracy - people in these positions go through training to prepare for disasters. The process of this training is entirely propagandized and conditions the belief systems of the trainees so they see peaceful demonstrators as terrorists, for example.

In general, the most important thing to realize, I think, is that the consolidation of government power and control is served by keeping the public divided. If we are divided then we are not united in a revolutionary uprising.

Who is directing it? Who wants us divided? Who planned it? Who calls the shots?

18. I never said I had that answer. Not sure there is one.
In fact I don't think there is an Oz. I think there are some powerful groups and they exert inordinate influence over the overall "mechanisms." Between the people and the mechanisms, I think we're a lot better equipped to observe, learn about, understand, and counteract the latter.

20. Definitely not an accident
The coordination involved in creating a corporate-military-government-media juggernaut (aka fascism) is definitely not an accident. But there is no one person responsible for it and now it proceeds largely by its own momentum (it is how the "system" operates). This is enhanced by the creation and deployment of the Manchurian Nation. Instead of just the powerful elite, everyday citizens at the core of our society are welcoming and perpetuating fascism. Read Harper's Magazine, "We Now Live in a Fascist State" for an excellent historical perspective on who typically embraces totalitarianism when it takes over a society.

You are seeing much of when the change happened on T.V. today. The anniversary of the Kennedy assassination is ripe with examples of keeping people in the dark. Look and listen carefully to any of these exposes on the History, Discovery, Discovery Times ect. channels. IMHO, this is when this supposed "they" you mentioned gained power. They have selected carefully others to be trained and to implement the plan that was enacted on that fateful day. Eisenhower warned us about them before he left office. The Military Industrial Complex. Many of its adherents have been in key positions of government, industry, the military, communications, advertising and the like since '63. They have consistently fed the message that wealth is desirable, possessions say who you are and the rich are to be emulated and celebrity adored. Whenever a military action is deemed necessary to acquire a needed commodity or to control a region of the world that has the needed commodity in abundance(whether the inhabitants know it or not)an incident is created to stir up the masses, public anger for retaliation is fanned and clothed in the trappings of patriotism, national sentiment and the call of Freedom, so the masses will offer their young in the struggle for Democracy.

The wealthy detest Democracy. But they have learned how to use it for their own ends. It's the age old struggle between the Haves and the Have Mores. G.W.Bush said it best, "This is an interesting group. The Haves and the Have Mores. People call you my supporters. I call you my base."(paraphrased)

their balance. They didn't just go away, you know. And until they could figure out a way to tip the scales again in their favor, they continued as they always have.

15. It has finally come to pass...
I remember some thirty years ago, while America was still in the pleasant throes of a seemingly successful civil rights revolution, that members of the KKK went public, claiming that someday they would control the government, starting at the very top and including all branches. How we laughed at the mere "impossible" thought of this occurence. After all, weren't ALL Americans happy that racial equality had been achieved?

Now I see that, while grinning with the "peaceniks" on the outside, there were some who became very effective members of "think tanks" and who plotted and planned and paid for the offices and jobs that it would take to bring about this take over. But they didn't stop with the problems of erasing racial equality. It became apparent to "them" that they could use the same techniques to take control of the entire country on a "social class" basis and eventually the entire globe with good planning. And so they planned well while the rest of us were doing the boogaloo.

What makes it so hurtful is that some of those who actually benefitted from the civil rights movement have become those who now use the neocon methods of global control.

Your site is great and I followed a couple of the links to global research. I have bookmarked them and will pass them on.

I cannot be a sheep, following the leader and barked into place by the herding dog. I will admit that the conspiracy theories make far more sense to me than the garbage we are being fed by the current administration and its self-owned media outlets.

24. I believe this division is INDEED intentional and I don't think they have
plans to stop anytime soon. They are doing this in a very systematic way. Controlling their party from decent, and then infiltrating and manipulating the opposing party (embarrass us, call us vile names, etc) then take control the media and control elections (ie, diebold). Now that this is all in place move on to shifting the tax burden from investors to workers, then weakening the power of the government and dismantle social programs, weaken the currency by huge tax cuts and allowing HUGE trade and budget deficits and then bankrupting all forms of government so they can buy all the assets for pennies on the dollar. THEN IT GETS REAL SINISTER. Then they have to reduce the population in BIG NUMBERS. They want about 90% of us 'useless eaters' gone - either fleeing to other countries or dying. Maybe by disease, food and water shortages, war, etc. At this time their 'New World Order' is in place. The top 10% can now enjoy all the resources themselves. They will of course have to keep some people around as slaves, to do the bad jobs that computers and robotic devices can't handle, but I doubt if they will worry too much about the few people left putting up much of a fight.
