BUSH BUGS OUT...
Bush couldn’t get out the doors after his press conference this morning in China. They were locked. He tried one. That didn’t work. He tried the other. The same result. Then he just stood there, arms at his sides as if about to reach for his imaginary six-shooters, as the feed was cut.

Hope Jon Stewart picks up on that “moment of Zen”.

Now Bush says it’s okay to criticize him & his policies. You’re not unpatriotic if you do so. But anyone doing so must have an alternative plan from his reiterated neoconservative (neoimperialist) agenda. Okay. I have one: GET THE HELL OUT OF IRAQ NOW!

He tells a reporter he doesn’t analyze himself but knows the press likes to do so. Psychopaths (sociopaths) are fearful of being analyzed. They don’t want to be found out. But with W all you have to do is look at his face to know what he is. Besides which--a bad case of coke-jaw…
----

Bush’s “free economies leads to free peoples” routine is…as the kids say… disingenuous. First of all, what the hell does he mean by a “free economy”? Certainly not what the US transnationals have created; oligopolies & monopolies with “very special relationships” to Government coffers.

Was it a free economy that lead to America‘s freedom? Seems to me there was something else afoot…

Even Milton Friedman (he of the wrongheaded, impracticable & erroneous laissez-faire)--in self-critical mode--says it was a mistake for him, back in the day when eastern Europe was sloughing off the Soviets, to have placed economic freedom ahead of human rights. (Hence the term: homo economicus ignoramus finally makes good.)

As John Ralston Saul in a recent interview on C-SPAN suggests, it’s authentically free people who are the ones who may create “free markets” --& I would concur, anything else consonant with their own particular concepts of freedom.
----

In China, Bush joined athletes in a bike ride…

http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/english/doc/2005-11/20/content_496359.htm

while in Iraq a US Marine & 5 more American soldiers died…

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2005/11/20/ap/world/mainD8E03GAG0.shtml

But that wouldn’t stop W from greasing the wheels of commerce…

>BEIJING -- China will buy 70 Boeing 737 airliners, a U.S. official said Saturday as President Bush arrived on a visit expected to include discussion of Beijing's surging trade surplus with the United States.

GOP BLESS…

3. "Have you ever heard of jet lag?"
What a simpering little brat. The man has the character of a 3-year-old. "Waaah! Momma, he was mean to me. I'm going home".

after the impeachment, maybe Bush will become a slapstick comedian - a role for which he's certainly better qualified...

13. How symbolic this is for Shrub's problems right now. "No way out."
But like always, his first response was to escape...run away.

Not this time though. Leave it to the Chinese to 'lock' the door on him. If we don't start repaying those debts, a 'locked' door may just be the beginning, Georgie.

2. The thing nobody ever fesses up to is ...
... the US is NOT a 'free market' in the true sense of the definition.

If it was, there would be no tax shelters, no no-bid contracts, no 'corporate favorable' legislation ... it would truly be survival of the fittest, all companies on an even plane, and let the BUYER decide.

And what we have is a very, very long way from that.

I wish someone would remind the Bush Administration (and other officials) when they're spouting 'Western Style Free-Market Capitalism' to the world.

11. Excellent point!
On a related note, I think pure capitalism is pure predation. I think all those people (from high government types down to deluded republican sympathizers you meet on the street) who go around spouting "capitalism is the best system in the world"--I think each and every one of those people ought to be made to go out and kill something EVERY time they get hungry and want to eat. EVERY time. No storing up food! Storing up food is the action of an agriculturalist---those little people who praise capitalism claim to be hunter/gatherers, well, let them REALLY live like that.

7. OHHH may these words:
""I was trying to escape. Obviously, it didn't work,"

(Bush quipped, facing reporters again until an aide rescued him by pointing to him toward the correct door.)"

Speak more than he ever intended them to- and echo for centuries-

17. Yea I saw that in the middle of the night news.
It was hilarious.

He couldn't get out of there fast enough to get away from the press.

Did you notice when both doors wouldn't open....he looked like he was standing at attention!

I laughed my ass off when the camera's quickly cut off.

That "coke jaw" comment was a howl!!

I hope the internet posts that video all over the place--since we know it will never see the light of day. What a stupid moron!!

21. They just showed the video on a local news station
and they were obliquely mocking him. Pretty funny.

This has great potential for Countdowns and The Daily Show.
