9. Seems like only yesterday I attended a vigil to mark 2000 deaths.
But it wasn't yesterday. It was a long time ago. Maybe even a month.

And here we are, with almost another hundred dead.

At this rate (God forbid) the vigil to mark the 3000th death ought to get here by the Fourth of July.

If we're lucky.

I lived through Nixon. Bush is a thousand times worse.
