Are the Republicans EVIL?
Un-restrained greed that the Republicans love is plain old selfishness carried to the point of being socially destructive, if anything is EVIL their greed qualifies. This EVIL greed dominates the Republican agenda regardless of religious affiliation or not. For these people religion is only a cover up for their blatant greed.

Religion is also a cover for war. Does it seem odd to you that those who support Bush's Crusade (WAR) in Iraq tend to be both the most pretentiously religious and the most greedy? IMO its consistent, but disgusting. These same Republican people use the word EVIL against those who disagree with their use of religion as part of their cover. It's a lot like using the word patriotic so as to condemn any one who disagrees with the worthiness of Bush's crusade. One thing in sympathy for Bush is non of the other crusades worked either. However Bush should have considered that fact before the invasion.

They certainly do not advocate "Peace on Earth...Goodwill Toward Men".

Now...that's not very Christian of them, is it?

6. So that leads us to the question....
Who is MORE foolish?

The fool?....or
The fool(s) who follow him?

I haven't read it in years. Sure is pertinent in this era we find ourselves in. I grok so.

4. I wouldn't categorize "all Republicans"..
I know people who are registered "one issue only" Rethugs..

I swear.. if they took a lengthy questionnaire on where they stand on other issues, I'll bet none of them would be Rethugs. Independents maybe... but not registered, party-line Rethugs.

“I know people who are registered "one issue only" Rethugs”

Sorry , that is not possible because,
even if they disagree with much of the platform, they still vote it. Sort of like guilty by association.

So yes they are all evil, even if only by association. They are still enablers or really really dumb.

My sister-in-law (28) is one of them. She said she could never vote for a Democrat because people like Hillary Clinton want to abort babies from the womb when the woman is 9 months pregnant.

Where do they get this crap!?! :o

For a school teacher.. she really is lame.. because she REFUSES to believe anything other than what some rightwing wacko planted in her head.. :banghead:

If you willingly associate with that party, then you're either:

1. ignorant of a VAST amount of readily obtainable information (which is no excuse- the Nuremberg trial began 60 years ago this day- and that's what the Germans claimed);

or

2. You agree with furthering your own narrow short term financial interest (which in the end, will probably be futile) at the expense of the vast majority of everyone else;

or

3. You agree with their abusive, irrational and (yes) evil policies that among other things- steal from everyone's children.

At this point, there's no longer any two or three ways about it- and I feel sorry for people who have to deal with family member like any of the above this week.

I think it's intellectually lazy to say that ALL Republicans are "evil." I mean is this a serious question? There is good and bad in every group. Believe it or not there even might be one or two evil Democrats.

13. No, all registered Republican voters are not evil.
However, some of the policies, such as the use of torture, promoted by Republicans in positions of power are evil.

We have to separate the policies from the people. There is good and bad in everyone.

However the ones that still back Bush's Iraqi war methods all come pretty close. About 37% of registered voters. Of course they could be just stupid.

25. They do evil, their actions are evil in the outcome
You can defend almost anyone by talking about their intentions, and say they want what is best for the world.

But when their actions reflect megalomania, greed, disregard for the downtrodden, a willingness to kill, invade, torture, lie, manipulate, steal elections and money and then try to cover it all up...

They drive me nuts cause they seem to believe that if they believe in God and talk about it a lot, then that makes them good.

But I believe there's a quotation about beliefs without works ain't nothin' at all.

Yes, the Neocons running our nation into the ground are EVIL INCARNATE

Like any other group they have their good people and their bad. I think the Republican leadership is certainly ethically challenged and some, like Cheney, could certainly fit the definition.

I think most people are either hopeless uninformed and just believe the spin, taking points and swiftboating of the Dems.

There are the old school Repuiblicans who really should just give it up and cross over - the ones who believe in samll government, fiscal responsibilty and an absense of government interference in their personal lives.

39. Hannah Arendt wrote of the "banality of evil"
in covring the trial of Eichmann...who thought of himself as a cog in a machine and focused on the trivia of his everyday routine, ignoring the evil that routine aided.

Something like that is going on with Republicans.
