From Wayne Madsen.. I know I know.. But something to think about Plame....
According to Wayne Madsen last week:

According to U.S. intelligence sources, the White House exposure of Valerie Plame and her Brewster Jennings & Associates was intended to retaliate against the CIA's work in limiting the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. WMR has reported in the past on this aspect of the scandal. In addition to identifying the involvement of individuals in the White House who were close to key players in nuclear proliferation, the CIA Counter-Proliferation Division prevented the shipment of binary VX nerve gas from Turkey into Iraq in November 2002. The Brewster Jennings network in Turkey was able to intercept this shipment which was intended to be hidden in Iraq and later used as evidence that Saddam Hussein was in possession of weapons of mass destruction. U.S. intelligence sources revealed that this was a major reason the Bush White House targeted Plame and her network.

I remember during the first couple months of the Iraqi Invasion, there was talk about planting WMD and that they had tried and failed. As much as Madsen is normally a crazy, I wonder if there isn't a gain of truth in his report. I could understand Dickie and friends getting upset if somebody in the CIA blocked the planting of WMD......

IMHO had any WMD been found in Iraq,, Bush would NOT be in the bind he is in now......

1. there's logic to what you say
I read a story that said at the beginning of the Iraq War, 63% of the
Iraqi people supported us, there were 100 informants a day with information, they had more intelligence given than they could handle
with no insurgents, so they started pulling people off the streets
and torturing them. Why, to get information they could have gotten
w/o torture. There are those who speculate that they did it, to get
people under torture to agree that they were part of the terror threat in Iraq that Bush talked about. Why, why did we resort to
torture, when we had everything going for us.

2. Good article in last month's Mother Jones about the WMD that WALKED
away. Over 200 Iraqi nuclear and chemical scientist are missing. Most tried to turn themselves in because they hated working for Saddam. BUT the Army and others ONLY wanted to know where the nuclear bombs where, and because there were not any, they told the scientists to hit the road. MJ article says a lot of them went to Iran and other countries that VALUED their brains.

3. one of the callers on Ed Schultz today compared Bush to a coach
Edited on Fri Nov-18-05 08:47 PM by MissWaverly
Say a coach had a strategy of 13 plays, what if every one of them
bombed miserably, would he repeat them over and over. Iraq was not
designed to succeed, I read today that Iraq is now just a feeding
ground for 25 nations, mercenaries, opportunists, there is no law
and there is nothing but chaos where Iraq is plundered and the people
are brutalized.
