The democratic nominee should challenge Bush to a debate before the RNC..
convention.

And they should challenge any republican attempts to format the debate to make it as mundane and easy on Bush as possible.

And if Bush doesn't agree, they should call him a chickenshit and hold town-hall meetings without him.

Bush can't debate worth a shit, and he's barely comprehensible on a good day.

Republican's know it.
Democrats know it.
Everyone knows it.

Republicans don't hold any cards on this issue. Either make Bush accept a debate on our terms, or call him a coward for refusing.

If Bush refuses, they should go on the air everyday asking "What's he scared of? The presidency isn't a beauty pagent, and debates are a time honored American tradition. Why would the president of the greatest country in the world be scared of a debate?" etc...

Everyone will know the answer, and there's not much the republicans can do to spin it.

4. I don't either, and it's a weakness for Bush...
So we should call attention to it whenever possible.

"The president can take a month-long vacation every summer, but he can't find the time to spend a couple hours taking questions from average Americans? What's he so scared of?"

6. In his interview last week, he already said he'll be too busy
doing Presidential stuff to do debates. He'll need to focus on things like fundraising, eating pretzels, playing golf, fundraising, reading goat stories, fundraising....
