Rep Geoff Davis (R-KY) calls Dems collaborators
Courtesy of Talking Points memo:

Rep Geoff Davis (R-KY) today on Rep. Murtha: "I think it's important to understand the political climate in which these shameful statements have been made. Ayman Zawahiri, Osama bin Laden's deputy, as well as Abu Musab Zarqawi, have made it quite clear in their internal propaganda that they cannot win unless they can drive the Americans out. And they know that they can't do that there, so they've brought the battlefield to the halls of Congress. And, frankly, the liberal leadership have put politics ahead of sound, fiscal and national security policy. And what they have done is cooperated with our enemies and are emboldening our enemies."

2. All Rep. Davis needs to do is sponsor a bill to bring back the draft.
Then we'll see how many 'collaborators' there are.

3. Collaboration implies that two groups work together
That is one thing the repukes can not be accused of, they have never been good at working with other groups, like the Democrats.

Modern day McCarthyism that is what this is beginning to look like. The next step will be to have hearings indicting anyone who does not support their little war in Iraq and the bu$h regime.

4. The Republicans joined the terrorists on the day they decided...
...to abandon the war on terror in favor of invading Iraq, which was NOT a terrorist entity.

Rep. Davis needs to be asked why he committed treason by supporting the President in abandoning US national security in favor of oil interests and Halliburton no-bid contracts enriching the profiteer Cheney.

What a hypocritical assertion.

5. who's the more criminal
The person who committed the crime?

Or the person who pointed out it was a crime?

enough said. Making the argument this Repug is making is IMO at the very least aiding and abetting criminal malfeasance. I.E. he's guilty of what he is decrying.

7. Don't you just love the smell of desperation in the morning?
These ham-fisted, bloody-fingered thugs will never repent, never relent. As they're being dragged to the scaffold (metaphorically speaking), they'll shout brazen imprecations and threats, vowing eternal vengeance against all who opposed their criminal regime, their jackass braying silenced only when the trap springs and the rope goes taut.

11. Nick Clooney isn't going to try again? He got close last time
Edited on Fri Nov-18-05 12:13 PM by Roland99
And considering * is only at 41% approval and quite a few soldiers from Ft. Campbell have been killed and Ft. Knox is losing some personnel to BRAC, Clooney would have a better chance this time around.

Heck, I'd run if I could raise enough money.

12. No, he hasn't shown interest
They were trying to get Kathy Groob or Heather French Henry, but they turned it down. January 19th is the deadline.

10. OMG I AM SOOOO PISSED! I just called Davis's office & lodged a complaint!
I told the guy answering that phone and I wanted to know when Rep. Davis was going to issue an apology to those citizens of Ky. that he represents who against this war and whom he called enemy collaborators and who embolden the enemy.

I told the guy I couldn't believe a sitting Congressman would utter such banal and disgusting sentiments like that.

He took my name and address and email address.

We'll see what happens.

ARRRGGGHHHHHH!!!

17. That reminds me of a question...
Where was the Air Force response on 9/11?

Why did Payne Stewart's private jet over Nebraska get an F-16 intercept in 15 mins, but 4 commercial airliners, manuevering radically over the most populous part of the country, were left oddly unmolested by our Air Defense which stayed, largely, on the ground until buildings started to get hit.

Mr. Davis might want to be careful slinging around the notion of collaboration.
