Because when close to the 2006 elections when Bush realizes that if they don't pull out of Iraq that republicans will lose both houses, and decides to have another "Mission Accomplished" moment and withdraw the troop (or at least some of them in a carefully timed ceremony), each and every one of those words will need to be called upon and thrown back in each and every crazed wingnuts faces.

Not that it will make a difference since 6 years of twisting and contorting your positions to match whatever Bush and Rove say your positions are and will be gives them lots of practic.

people seemed to be paying attention when they put the inconsistent statements of Cheney out there the other night. It was picked up by more than one cable show. It showed he'd undeniably lied--and it showed it so clearly, even a freeptard could understand.

3. I don't think they will support pulling out of Iraq

They might try to make it look like we're pulling out, but the neocons will revolt if they think we're actually doing it. Remember, this is their holy grail and Iraq is just the first step in their dream of world conquest.

I'm sure at least some of them are pinning their hopes on a major terrorist attack on US soil before November next year, thinking this would blind us to the insanity of our continued presence in Iraq.
