Lets close our eyes and imagine...
what would life be like right now with a Democratic Majority in the House and Senate?

1. Sweet Jesus....
I wouldn't be looking at my shrinking bank account, I wouldn't be feeling ashamed and embarrassed of my country and president, I wouldn't be looking at my children with the fear that the world that they inherit as adults will be filled with hate, bigotry and oppression, I would be enjoying my life, not being so angry, disappointed and disgusted......

2. I am filling up my car
with gasoline mixed with ethenol, and I get a discount at the pump because my car gets over 30 mpg. I'm proud that my neighbor, who makes solar panels, has been given a government contract to build panels for all the local post offices, helping them out and giving employment to his crew for a long time. I hear that these local alternative energy businesses are springing up all over the country, spurred by the Gore Energy Independence project.

I look out from my office, and watch as they lay the tracks for the high speed rail line that will link us to the main line that goes through Springfield MO, and thank my lucky stars that THIS Thanksgiving I don't have to drive to DFW to be with the in-laws, but can hop on the train and be there in two hours instead of driving for 8 and wasting fuel.

The non-profit health foundation where I volunteer is glad that everyone has a national health card, based on Medicare. It makes things so much easier. And they are encouraged because teaching wellness and maintaining health is as encouraged as finding new and innovative ways of treating chronic conditions.

Best of all, the US is admired around the world for our steadfast stand for peace and democracy.
