Katie Couric to Frist....
"So other than parroting the White House strategy, what does this bill do?"

3. Yes, she did,
And she also asked him if they were doing this because of polls.
I don't think she likes him.

13. or she is criticizing him for not doing MORE for the WH
I loved when the Today show clan told M Moore that they were not "cheerleaders" for the Iraq war and then he cut to footage of them doing a cheer on the deck of the Intrepid.

clip: Some of NBC's biggest news personalities, Tom Brokaw, Katie Couric and Tim Russert, also appear in "Fahrenheit 9/11," even though NBC said it did not license any footage of its anchors and correspondents.

Couric and several Fox News personalities figure prominently in a montage of broadcasts early in the Iraq war. The "Today" show host exclaims in a patriotic outburst, "Navy Seals rock!"

4. Hatie Katie was rather mocking him, wasn't she?
I enjoyed the "technical difficulties" part the most. :-)

9. He didn't say anything that made any sense...
More communication from the White House seemed to be the only thing, and when she pounced on that and asked had it not been good he backed off that statement. He just came on to use his line that the democratic stategy is to "cut and run." What an ass he is!

amendment wasn't so specific?

I must admit I was laughing at that point.

7. Do you meant the REPUBLICAN PLAN because the REPUBLICAN PLAN
is some plan that REPUBLICAN PLAN.

I was getting ready to head out the door and that was all I heard. I saw a photo yesterday of Harry Reid and Carl Levin holding a PRESS CONFERENCE to point out that it was their amendment to start with....wow talk about carrying the RNC water for them.

12. I also liked how she told him to "Get back to work" helping build house.
How many other shows was Frist on this morning? Katie asked him how long he would be helping to build the house for Habitat for Humanity and he told her just the morning.

Can you say shameless photo-op?

Edited on Tue Nov-15-05 09:00 AM by npincus
isn't he under investigation for insider trading (sale of stock)? Even Delay's indictment gets short shrift in the MSM now.

16. I love Katie!
Next to Oprah, she is one of the brightest people working in the Reich Wing media today!

I don't know how she keeps her job, making snide remarks like this. Truth is verbotten over there at the GE network. I guess the Rethuglican Overlords are just afraid to fire her, because it would cause a public uprising.

18. Frist is on Senate floor after saying he'd work all morning at Habitat!
Edited on Tue Nov-15-05 09:52 AM by flpoljunkie
A wee bit of an exaggeration to Katie's question? Frist must have high tailed it back to the Senate to shower and change clothes in order to be able to speak live on the Senate floor at 9:50AM.

The man lies with impunity--rolls right off his "cat killer" tongue.

19. She must be the only person alive to have seen the White House Strategy
The entire reason the Senate is presenting a strategy is because the White House has never given any indication they have one other than "stay the course". She is the worst of the worst when it comes to Media Whores.

21. Frist is a complete moran.
Too bad the man doesn't work well without the full help of Delay. Delay is like his Karl Rove and since he's a little busy lately with indictments, poor Frist has had to go it on his own.

22. I think she was hoping he might actually say something of substance...
but when all he could say was "cut and run" she slammed him.

Good for Katie!
