"former Hill staffer" - Judith Miller quote revisited
Edited on Fri Nov-11-05 04:57 PM by Eric J in MN
Judith Miller implied on NPR's "Morning Edition" today that she only referred to Lewis Libby as a "former Hill staffer" in her notes, not her articles.

Is there any way we can do a search of her wmd articles to check that?

If she's telling the truth about this, then the "former Hill staffer" controversy was much ado about nothing.

We can still hold other things against her, after helped to start a disastrous war.

1. What business did she have writing articles on this?
Her NYT bosses told her she wasn't on the WMD beat anymore. So why did Libby meet with her THREE TIMES to make sure that she got all the dirt on the issue when the Wilson story was hot?

Let's not pretend we know the whole picture here.

3. I want to be clear that I have a low opinion of Judith Miller,
and I was glad when she was in prison.

I just think the controversy over the phrase "former Hill Staffer" in her notes about Lewis Libby was mistaken (based on the assumption she also called him that in her articles, when she claimed she didn't on NPR this morning.)

4. she met with him three times in public...
and she only kept notes on three meetings.

were there other meetings?

what a person does with their spare time, and who they do is really none of my business, i'll readily admit.

unless, of course, it's the country they are really f*cking.

2. Tell it to Fitz Judy. I am sure he will be very receptive.

Why would she put Libby as a former hill staffer in her own notes to herself.
