The McClellan statement change on Olbermann!
Edited on Thu Nov-10-05 08:17 PM by jenmito
I saw a post here the other day about how the transcript of McClellan saying "It's accurate" during the briefing and having the quote changed on the website is coming up in a couple minutes on Countdown!

10. I saw this happen back in 2001
Ari was doing the press briefing, and when I read the WH transcripts later, I saw a full sentance was missing. I emailed MSNBC about it, and kept checking the WH site. It stayed the same.
I wish Keith had asked that guy "How many times has the White House asked you to change your own transcripts."

13. I saw it happen on a Faux partial transcript
Where they wrote the exact opposite of something Wes Clark said...but that's to be expected.

11. I think that the media should just stop coming to Scotty's show. Let
him stand and spew his crap to an empty room.

14. I've been saying the same thing. Or...BETTER YET!! >>>
Have one reporter at every press conference or gaggle asking Scotty where the WMDs are.

16. The pig roast is a delight. I'd hate to lose it. All that's missing...
is the apple in his mouth. Scottie's a blessing to the Dems. I've never seen someone so poorly suited to this position. No wonder Tweety fumes with jealousy, he would be considerably better at the job.

I was wondering who would carry this first. Kudos to KO. I expect it will be on the Daily Show before long as well.

18. Not only that
There wasn't even enough TIME for him to have said what the White House claims. Dumpy Scotty basically interjects the comment while the reporter was stating the remainder of his question. It wasn't a distinct pause with plenty of room for Scotty to say anything he wanted. Two words was all he had time for.

The video could not be more clear. It focuses on Scotty while he makes the comment so you can see his mouth move as he says it. It's a clear start and finish, nothing beforehand that the camera missed. Beyond belief the White House is so desperate and incompetent to even pretend.

21. Caught CNN during the 2000
race changing the closed captions. We use them for my sister (partially deaf) and I noticed several omissions and changes when we watched politicians interviewed. We called CNN to register a complaint and they said an outside company handled this service and they would 'leave a message'.
She has since given up on TV, reads the NYT.

22. I saw and heard this.
It seems that Scotty McLiar was so tired that he inadvertently told the truth for a rare change.

He should remain as the Ass Clown spokes Idiot for the Bush Regime. He is almost as amusing as his Sock Puppet Prez.

24. Love the fact
that this came up during the week that White House staffers are getting remedial "ethics" training!

Who developed the curricula?
