If Bush** had any dignity at all, he'd resign now and...
Edited on Thu Nov-10-05 09:07 AM by ClassWarrior
...spare the nation the humiliation.

I know. Bush** has no dignity. I know. Bush** will never resign. But we gain a vast strategic advantage by putting these words on the lips of average Americans. As bleever recently said, this is about linking the words “dignity” and “resign” in the minds of the American people. This is about strategic framing.

Remember, the left doesn’t have a national “meme machine.” We ARE the left’s “meme machine.” That’s why I’m asking you today to join me in loudly proclaiming, to people of all political stripes:

If Bush** had any dignity at all, he'd resign now and spare the nation the disgrace.

1. *'s got no "dignity". If he had any class he'd leave
well we all know where this isn't going. Nowhere.

3. It may be working

In the current edition of U. S. News and World Report, Zuckerman (dumbass extraordinare and constant bush apologist) writes in his editorial - "But to impugn the integrity of our leading officials and poison the atmosphere in which this country is fighting a war is irresponsible politics, and it ought to be stopped." How quaint! NO Mort, lets not stop it and why dontcha put pen to paper about the irresponsibility oozing out of the White House. Why, that would require you to have integrity huh?

On a similar note and in the same vain:

IF CHRISTIAN CONSERVATIVES DIDN'T HATE THERE WOULD BE NO NEED TO AMEND THE CONSTITUTION TO BAN HOMOSEXUALS FROM MARRYING.

4. Allow me to clarify. The goal of this meme is NOT to influence GWB**'s...
...behavior. That'll never happen.

The goal is to influence how the average American thinks of GWB**. If they begin to believe that his only dignified response to the Culture of Corruption is resignation, and GWB** doesn't resign, they will no longer see him as a dignified individual. In other words, they'll begin to see him for the criminal he is.

Next step? Visualize IMPEACHMENT.

8. If he had any dignity he would resign because, as the NYTs op-ed
put it, the world can't afford 3 more years of this. What can this crime family accomplish for the America people over the next three years? Divert a few more 100 billion to his corporate donors? (So, they can kick back a few 100 million to the GOP corporate government?) Maybe he can expand the war in the middle east, or convince the last few hold outs that America is the best target for their hatred. We might have a few freedoms left to be auctioned off to the highest corporate bidder in the war to keep us safe from freedom and good sense. We can't afford three more years of unadulterated incompetence. If this catastrophic failure of a man had any dignity, he would admit that he's in over his head, he allowed the "experts" that he bragged as a candidate would do his thinking for him to badly abuse the honor, military and treasury of this country, and he should resign to spare further compounding the damage he has done to this country.

There. I feel better now. Yes, if he had any dignity, he would resign.

15. Kick! Still catapulting that ol' propaganda, 'eh? I hope this repeats
far and wide.

Whether people think it's actually doable is beside the point.

The point is - JUST GET IT THE F--- OUT THERE!!!!!

This is one of those "it needs to be said" items. And I guarantee if you say it, someone else within earshot will be thinking it.

Kicked and recommended.

16. As Much As I Hate Bush, I Can't
get behind any effort for impeachment that singles out Bush only. If you can be certain to include Cheney in the message, and the impeachment, then I'm all for the setting the subliminal message. But to take out Bush and leave us with Cheney, is not an upgrade.

19. You're overthinking it.
I believe if Bush** goes down, Cheney** will too. Probably before Bush**. But the purpose of this meme is not to influence their behavior; it is simply to undermine the Administration**'s image in the minds of average Americans.

Please join me:

If Bush** had any dignity at all, he'd resign now and spare the nation the disgrace.

18. Excellent idea.
In my last emails to Norm Coleperson, I've been telling him that he should just resign now and get it over with. But I think I'll use your approach and alter my wording a bit. Thanks for the idea!

Hmmm...your suggestion can be used in a number of various ways.

If Bush** had any dignity at all, he would pull our troops out of Iraq and admit we should never have gone there in the first place.

If Bush** had any dignity at all, he would tell Rove to resign and spare the nation the disgrace.

If Bush** had any dignity at all, he would tell Cheney to resign and spare the nation the disgrace.

If Bush** had any dignity at all, he would tell Rumsfeld to resign and spare the nation the disgrace.

If Bush** had any dignity at all, he would tell Frist to resign and spare the nation the disgrace.

If Bush** had any dignity at all, he would ask for a full investigation into war profiteering by Halliburton.

If Bush** had any dignity at all, he would ban torture under any and all circumstances and spare the nation the disgrace.

If Bush** had any dignity at all, he would demand adequate funding for Veteran's programs and spare the nation the disgrace.

Oh...the possibilities are endless.
