Tonight, Robert Kennedy, Jr. spoke to about 1,000 people at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. He gave a very powerful speech in which he pretty much eviscerated the Bush Administration and their environmental policies, and rather eloquently revealed how environmentalism isn't just about the stereotypical "tree-hugging, earth-tone wearing hippies."
He basically blamed the corporate media for allowing environmental problems to get out of hand, as they do little or no investigative reporting. Why would GE--owner of NBC--report on their problem in the Hudson River? He stressed these points rather well.
The best line of the night came when he was telling about how he speaks to GOP audiences in red states and how afterwards a lot of people come up to him and say they as Republicans had no idea this was going on. His response was that "80% of Republicans are Democrats who don't know what's going on." How true!
