2. I don't think ANY prez has ever had a 60% disapproval....
Even Lincoln was more popular when he was using the
MILITARY against half the states!

B*sh is arrogantly going where NO PREZ has gone before.

5. Carter, Nixon, Bush Sr., LBJ, and Truman all had 60%+ disapproval
at one point or another.

13. There are some things that are so historically well known I don't have to
prove them. That is one of them. I am an amatuer presidential historian so trust me on this. Digging around for poll data is simply a waste of time for me.

20. So, these things are "so obvious" that you can't BOTHER to prove them?
Edited on Tue Nov-08-05 09:44 PM by dicksteele
I POLITELY ask you for a simple link to back up
some numbers;
NUMBERS which you CLAIM to be familiar with...

And you respond, "Digging around for poll data is simply a waste of time for me".

Well, dealing with "big-talkers" who spew bullshit
but can't provide FACTS to prove their claims
is a waste of time for _ME_.

I am not a big-time "AMETEUR" like you,
but my internets have Google too,
and every GOOGLE result is DIFFERENT than the numbers you quoted.

Gee, should I believe YOU, or a hundred different PROFESSIONALS?

PFFT!

I'm not buying your routine;
Dance better,
dance faster,
or GET YER LAME ASS OFF THE STAGE!

Hit "alert" NOW, you sorry little fibber.

4. The current GOP spin
is that second term presidents always decline in the polls and this is no big deal. They site Reagan's less than stellar second term numbers and how now he is considered on the the greatest presidents ever.

So using this logic, Bush will be considered a great president 10 years from now and we should get get with his program. :crazy:

It's no big deal. History will judge him great. Repeat as necessary.

12. GOP spinners need to check out this website
http://www.pollingreport.com/clinton-.htm

It appears that during the second Clinton term, the Big Dog never fell below the mid-50's. And after the House voted to impeach, he shot up to the 70's!

He had the most corrupt administration. More of his people were indited than any modern president.

8. Clinton?
Didn't St. William of Arkansas have a 60% disapproval rating in 1994, right before the midterm elections?

9. In reality, Bush most likely has a 90% disapproval rating because
you know darn well that, of the 40% group who supposedly approve of him, at least 30% of that group know in their hearts they disapprove of him but would never admit it in any poll, just out of loyalty. That leaves him with an actual 10% approval rating, if ya know what I mean. ;)
