7. It's about damn time the ACLU came out on this.
San Francisco chapter spokesperson brought a "compromise" version to the Democratic Party Platform Working Committee conference in the summer of 2004 just before the national convention.

It was broadcast on C-Span and I couldn't freaking believe my ears when she defended the Patriot Act on the floor to party delegates fighting hard to get the patriot act OUT of the party platform!

that incident burned in my memory all throughout Kerry's camapaign.

aaarrrggggh.....
