13. Hillary Clinton is sold out to the dark forces!
Hillary Clinton is now a political ally of Newt Gingrich and the Neoconservative cult that started the illegal war in Iraq, a war fought for Israel. Hillary Clinton supports Israel's apartheid wall and Ariel Sharon's illegal land grab on the West Bank. This is just the kind of immoral behavior that created the 9-11 attack. The world hates us for a reason and Hillary Clinton will only add to that justifiable hatred. The US Congress is cutting needed social programs to finance an illegal war. Hillary Clinton and Newt Gingrich are united in fighting for a bigger army and even more military spending, all for the sake of Israel and at the expense of American families.

Pictures of Hillary and Newt together below:

15. She's in way too deep.
DLC, pals with Newt, Bill's pals with the Bushes -- I can no longer trust her.

She is a no-go for 2008.

6. That's what I was thinking.
Two names that normal (read non-voters) Americans would recognize, and that liberals and moderates would actually vote for.

5. NO! Even Al says he's not intersted and although I think
Hillary would do a great job, I don't think she's electable.

7. No, that era is over
They did a fine job for this country, a fine job indeed.

But these are different times, requiring new faces from the Democratic Party. Running that ticket would be like running Jimmy Carter and Walter Mondale in 1992.

8. Good Point.
I wouldn't mind keeping Hil in the senate a bit longer (unless we can get a TRUE progressive in) but you think Al is finished, politically?

10. Al Gore and Bill Clinton? Sure.
At least, we can be confident in the experience of the man who'd be one heartbeat away from the job.

14. A previous 2-termer is prohibited from serving as Vice President?
I know the 12 Amendment prohibits a same-state VP yet the Cheneys of Highland Pk, TX somehow got around it after the fact.

18. We have debated this ad nauseam!
Edited on Sun Nov-06-05 03:29 PM by serryjw
IF it was tried it would be challenged. Think of it this way; The purpose of the 22 is to restrict a president to 2 terms, the purpose of the 25th is continuity of government. IF a president died, was impeached or was assassinated we would have to REPLACE BOTH the Pres & The VP. This would totally screw up line of succession. which may very well make this unconstitutional.. The Speaker would become President and HE WOULD have to appoint a new VP, neither would be voted on by the citizens of this country.I can't imagine this would be good for America.I think SCOTUS would agree.
