Just a general question.
People who are in politics, but don't belong in politics, have taken over the country. They're releasing a constant stream of divide-and-conquer, polarizing rhetoric designed to genuinely demonize a great deal of the country. This is just a start. They endorse torture of prisoners, stage phony wars to grab resources, will say anything to avoid accountability.
They love violence and torture, so taking up arms against them would be taking up an invitation that I believe they wish would happen, so that they can further divide up the country, use the military to directly enforce their agenda, and fully install a military/church order ala' the worst dystopian visions. Boycotting corporations no longer makes direct sense due to the BushCo globalization ("we are new fields").
How to fight? Protests go on outside of the power structure, and as such do no harm.
These people know that they can smash and grab this, and other countries, because the price of direct resistance is enormous, and few will leap up until the need is directly and personally obvious.
Perhaps using lawyers against lawyers? Check and balance them laterally and legally, somehow?
