2. "Our long nightmare of peace and prosperity is over."
That was the headline at "The Onion", early on after the selection of this criminal.

As someone here said, The Onion isn't satire--they're psychic!

3. yeah I remember saying "he's no better than a repub".
oyvey! well actually clinton did make policys worse than they had ever been for nonviolent criminals. stupid crime bill. But, compared to what bush has done nationally and internationally on every front, I gotta say I really wish clinton was prez.

6. There would be no rioting at the summit in South America
if Clinton were President. We would not be in an endless war in Iraq with our kids dying and our Army being slowly destroyed from inside and out if Clinton were President. Rove would be destroying the ethical landscape of Texas instead of America if Clinton were President. The residents of New Orleans would never have heard of michael brown if Clinton were President. I'll take the Big Dog anyday over any republican president of the past 100 years with the possible exception of Ike (and I doubt he was a Republican.)

11. I didn't say I like Ike more than FDR
I believe Ike was the best republican president in the past 100 years. Every republican president in that period pales politically in comparison to FDR. Ike's leadership in WWII and his displayed integrity in the white house makes him a very respected man in our household.

4. Hi Skittles
Prominently displayed amongst my Navy stuff all around my home office is a framed Certificate of Appreciation signed by President Bill Clinton that I got upon my retirement. I retired in 2002 and Clinton was not President but as my Sailors were planning my retirement ceremony I requested they contact Clinton's Office in New York to get a certificate signed by him. It was a joy to hear his name read at my retirement ceremony. The Salutation, "Bill Clinton, Commander in Chief." I made sure it was read that way. I see that certificate everyday tucked nicely in a bookcase right next to my Statue of the Lone Sailor. In fact, I'm looking at it right now. Don't forget the Big Dog!

12. pretty cool stuff, BOSSHOG
one of my ex-boyfriends was from Arkansas and he had a book signed by Governor Clinton - I just thought that rocked. Something commemorating 24 years of service to America? PRICELESS.
