Cindy Sheehan IS NOT in Argentina
I am sorry I wasnt more specific on the other post !!!! I am new at doing this and not very good at it.
Cindy Sheehan is in La,Ca,has been for several days and is doing a rally in San Diego on monday.
She has been very busy writing speeches and trying to get her book finished as well as seeing her mom at the hospital. Her mom has been in the hospital since the campground in Crawford.I hope this clears up the confusion.Thank you to the one who told me to repost.

1. There is an anti-Cindy brigade at DU
Most of them support prowar candidates such as that Hillary woman. They never miss a chance to speak ill of Cindy.

6. IG, that is not a fair statement, really.
Many of us support her strongly, and admire her. We just have a different view of her attempts to sandbag some good Democrats by not being fair about her meetings with them.

As long as she does not advocate against the party, and say not to vote for certain people....most here do support her.

8. The classic DU clash has always been between the partisans and the
issue-oriented posters. There are those that support their tribe no matter what, a tribe being identified by the letter "R" or "D" that follows a politician, and there are those that eschew partisan politics in favor of issues that they care about at a very personal level.

For example, there are people that oppose the war on moral and ethical grounds. The war is evil just because it is, not because it was brought by Bush (with some help from the Beltway Democrats).

You got to understand that if someone like Hillary gets elected, she will turn the Iraq war into a Democratic war (pretty much the reverse of what Nixon did in turning a Democratic war into a Republican war).

Those of us that oppose the war today and hate Bush for it, will continue to oppose the war if it continues under a Democratic President.

The partisans will drop their opposition to the war and start calling for support for the Democratic President. They might raise the spectre of another RW victory at the polls if we fail to support the war policies of the new Democratic President.

This is no mere speculation on my part. Those of us that lived through the Vietnam War know that this scenario is highly probable because it is what happened in this country back then.

10. I lived through the Vietnam era as well.
My point is that you vote for the Democrat or what? or who?

I don't see viable alternatives when there is such a crisis in our country.

11. I am against the war and I won't support any candidate that is prowar
Edited on Fri Nov-04-05 10:28 PM by IndianaGreen
I will also never support a candidate that is opposed to LGBT rights and abortion rights.

Democrats were the war party until Nixon got in and decided to turn Johnson's war into Nixon's war.

3. This "Disinformation Post on DU" was Karl Rove's Work/ Jane Fonda
Edited on Fri Nov-04-05 08:22 PM by KoKo01
=Cindy Sheehan. I replied to a post that Cindy was going to Protest at the Summit...and got no answer. A "Freeper/Troll" posted that so she would seem to be the NEW JANE FONDA!

Now...if Cindy wanted to go to Argentina or SA to Protest the "Free Trade/NOT Fair Trade Summit...I would have no problem with that and if she felt it was where she needed to be at this time...who am "I" to speak for her.

But...there aren't any Sheehan sightings. Even that Pig Matthews tried to bring this up and yet NO ONE HAS SEEN CINDY!

Trolls/Freeps are getting so sophisticated we can't even weed them out. We need to be on HIGH ALERT...in THESE TIMES. :-(

4. No different from the "Chavez is a dictator" brigade
I agree with you, we need to be on HIGH ALERT because the RW wins only by keeping us divided.

Like Chavez said today in Argentina:

“Only united can we defeat imperialism and bring our people a better life.”

5. Thanks...
and yeah...I think Chavez has a message..that should go into the "Mix of Thought and Discussion" that should belong to an "Evolved and Enlightened" American Dialog.

Those who "Exclude" and are "big voiced/big footed" about it all are those who like McCarthy would stop all thought that doesn't agree with their "narrow mindedness bordering on Fascism.
