Tom DeLay blames the deficit on Democrats
Yes, you read that correctly. Democrats are to blame -- along with the war, of course. It seems that all this time we thought the Hammer ran Congress with an iron fist. But apparently he has been hadcuffed all these years by a Congress set up by those evil Democrats with procedures that make cutting spending downright hard.

“The 9-11 recovery, the war on terror, our homeland security buildup and related priorities have required Congress to spend more than we otherwise would have,” the former majority leader of the House of Representatives told an audience Thursday at the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank.

“These things needed doing, and they needed doing quickly. Yes, they were expensive, but they were necessary and time-sensitive, and, given the circumstances, we were right to err on the side of security over thrift.”

He also blamed Democrats, complaining that they haven’t offered any suggestions on how to cut spending. He said they created a congressional budget process that makes it difficult to cut spending.

“We’ve been operating off a Congress designed by Democrats,” he said.

1. You know, if these cretins want a civil war...
they should pull out their beloved guns and shoot us like real men would.

I will not listen to those vermin ever again. The truth is on the right side of the middle yet they want to make the left look 120% guilty. They have no honor.

Of course, this IS deLay speaking.

13. To me, Delay has no office, no standing. He is completely illegitimate
Edited on Thu Nov-03-05 09:33 PM by Gman
and part of an illegitimate and illegal government and deserves no rights due his alleged "office". He is part of the revolutionary government of 2000 and is not a legitimate leader of this country.

3. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Pull the other leg, it plays 'Jingle Bells'.
Your party has been in charge of the House since 1995, Hot Tub Tom. That's more than enough time to have changed the culture. Oh, and lest we forget, appropriations bills start in the House.

So, shut up, Tom.

7. If the House had 430 Republicans and 5 Democrats
Whatever went wrong would still be our fault. Everything is our fault -- all the time. Try to remember that.

19. I still get kind of mad when I read or hear stuff like this, but
mostly I laugh, because DeLay, Frist, Cheney, and the rest are so full of hot air and shit it's ridiculous. And I think people are starting to catch on to them.

So Tom, blow it out your ear. I've got more important things to do than seriously entertain anything you could possibly have to say!

refuse to take credit for anything.

They have screwed up everything they have touched and blamed it on the Democrats.

They are the Majority as they are so quick to point out.

Now they want to hide away when the shit hits the fan....
