Dean says it is "our job to keep Republicans from doing more damage."
The reporter on Bloomberg just now kept on about where is the plan of the Democrats. Dean told him it was not our job right now as the minority to keep coming up with plans...that we need to "keep Republians from doing more damage."

There is more, but no time to transcribe right now.

That is so true. We are fighting back with everything we have just to keep them from destroying our country.

1. The plans will come heading into the 2006 election
That's when the Dems need to unvail their plans and they must do so assertively and repeatedly.

2. That's exactly how we need to respond to charges of obstructionism.
Go, Howard!

3. Oh yeah! Tell it, Dr. Dean!
This is a great meme to repeat.

Talk about a "Policy of Containment"!

Hollerin' Howard, I SALUTE YOU!

5. Exactly how I feel! Fighting w/every breath just to STOP them now.
These corrupt RWers are feeling the heat, and as you know, desperate people do desperate things.

I feel like we are using all our combined energies to keep them from enacting a "scorched earth" policy while they are going down.

NOW is the time to be diligent, not off having a big-picture, brainstorming, strategy session.

"Strap in tightly kiddos, get ready" is what the good doc is telling us here. I'm listening!

6. When Dean appeared on The Daily Show, and Stewart was pestering
him with the "what is the Democrats plan" talking point (it's a GOP talking point, btw), I nearly blew a frickin' gasket. I'm glad to see that Dean has improved his response somewhat, but I would still like to see a stronger statement. Here's what I screamed at JS from the safetly of my couch that night:

"Our plan? I'll tell you what the fucking plan is, John: we plan to hold this Administration accountable. THAT'S THE FUCKING PLAN!!! You got a problem with that?"

Dean might want run that by his people before quoting me directly.

7. And he kept outlining plans we have....the reporter kept spouting.
The reporter kept saying where are your plans, just as Dean kept presenting them...in outline form of course for next year. It was almost like talking points, but of course the media would not do that.

I had to listen hurriedly, but he did say create jobs in the alternative energy industry.

He made it clear that the stock market indicators did not mean much to norman everyday Americans.

8. When Dean or any other dem is being interviewed
they are asked that question and when they attempt to answer the interviewer will cut them off. Typical. It happen to Dean this a.m. when being interviewed for maybe 30 seconds.

9. They want us to make plans to rescue them. They have failed.
All of our Dems need to say that everytime they are interviewed and pressed for a plan.

10. A reminder to our Democrats speaking on TV
First, don't fall for the "where is the plan of the Democrats'" spiel they are using. It is spin, pure and simple to take the burden off them for their failures.

If you answer, remind them as Dean did of the damage they are doing....it is our job to fix it.

And for goodness sakes, Democrats...when you go on TV don't let them trick you into naming the leaders of the party! Please don't do that.

It happened on Anderson Cooper last night, and I disagree with the names that were given. I am tired and don't want to be flamed today, but the person should have just let it go at "there are a lot of leaders."

Don't let them spin you.
