5. Are they protesting bush in general?
Are they protesting in general? I can't tell if this is about Haiti or something else.

The guy on bullhorn sounds like he might speak french natively.

6. No toast yet... and
CSPAN has now not only reduced the photo of the WH during this - while they also show a small photo of the voting in the house... there is no sound anymore.

8. Damn. I missed that. I did catch the last of Prince Charles' toast.
He has a very nice speaking voice. What is Camilla wearing? She is quite the elegant English lady and always so nicely dressed. (It helps to have money!)

Oh. The CSPAN announcer said they's return to the dinner later and show footage from earlier.

I wonder if he'll discuss global warming and horses with Bush? I can't imagine that he and Bush would have anything in common at all. The Queen is probably still angry with Bush's security team for destroying part of her prized rose garden at Buckingham Palace.

9. Well the Prince and the Boy King are at separate tables.
That says a LOT!

Wonder if that was one of Chuck's conditions.

10. That is strange. In Europe, the heads of state sit at the same table.
For instance Putin is in the Netherlands now. He and his wife sat with Queen Beatrix.

Did you know that Charles met with and apparently had dinner with Al Gore on a private visit to the US a few years ago? I'm sure he WANTED to meet with Al and discuss the environment and global warming.

I can't imagine having an intelligent or witty conversation with Bush. That's probably why he's had fewer state dinners than any other president in living memory.

12. Beatrix does have Romanov blood but she also sits w/ non-Europeans.
I would never want to sit next to Bush at a dinner. Ugh!

16. Some people prefer to have a beer with W, but Chuck doesn't do beer.
Smart crown prince. He also probably doesn't enjoy cow shit, so separate tables was a wise plan.

Me and OJ. We're like this.

I heard the milketoast utter those words this morning on my TV.
You can't make stuff like this up.
