What will Dobson, Falwell and their ilk think of this 2000 Alito decision?
In 2000, Judge Alito joined the majority when it struck down New Jersey's ban on the so-called partial birth abortions in Planned Parenthood of Central New Jersey v. Farmer. In a concurring opinion, Mr. Alito echoed the majority in arguing that abortion limits must have an exception for the preservation of the health of the mother, because previous Supreme Court rulings required that they do so.

Of course, when you are on the Supreme Court you can overrule previous rulings and thus, make law--something the Rethugs refuse to acknowledge--Bush v. Gore being the most egregious example.

4. & one who gets his marching orders retail, from voices in his head, not
wholesale at some church function. Being a lawyer or judge is only important when they want it to be.

3. They have paid Judas, he has the pieces of silver in his hand
After meiers, the godsquad made it clear that * better listen to his controllers. There should be no question that rove et al called them pre-announcement to clear it with them, and give assurances that scalito is their boy. Bought and paid for. * learned his lesson after being dragged to the woodshed. His daddies spanked him good. He will be a good boy for a while.
