Presidential second terms

I've read an opinion piece and heard conservative pol-pundits
explain that problems in Presidential second terms away by
saying that they are cursed, staffers are tired, etc.

BS.

The crimes of this administration happened in Bush's
first unelected term and are just coming to public attention
now because of the investigations by the CIA, Fitz et al.
It didn't help that Ms. Miller and others decided to delay justice in
this particular case and especially before the election
last November. The truth about Bush Inc. wasn't furthered
by a media hanging back from doing its own investigations
on the run up to the invasion of Iraq.

The problems in Bush Inc.'s second term are caused
by their own hubris and disregard for moral authority and
the law and a hands off by the media in their first term.

7. I think one reason is there are not a lot of left-of-center pundits

on the air. However, the RW pundits are using the "Second term analogy" as a talking point, that's all. But I think generally it's true about second term Presidents.

You have to wonder whether these crimes would
have come to light if Kerry was in the White House.

4. Said this before....

I'm really sick of this "Presidential second terms are prone to scandals.." meme.

It reduces the grievous crimes committed against the United States and the Constitution by Nixon, Reagan, Bush and Bush and equates them with a blow job.

I keep hearing this over and over and over and over. It's like mind control.

It's like a little voice in my head that keeps saying that, "Bush isn't so bad, this is the normal course of events. It's just 'politics'. All presidents are the same and all their 'scandals' are the same."

I despise "the media."

5. It does neutralize the real crimes of this admin.

Lumping any problems in second terms of different
presidencies and shrugging, saying shit happens
ignores the real crimes imposed on
this country and the world by this lawless administration.

I hate these people.
