"CNN Presents on the Iraq War".....Sad trash by John King of Sheehan &

all of us who have supported her and protested against the Iraq War since BEFORE the Invasion. It was supposed to be a Documentary.

I don't know if this is new or a repeat of an earlier show, but it was so dreadful in its Propaganda spin I turned it off after they finished with Protestors and went to "Grieving Families," where the portrayal seemed to be going as pitting one group against the other.

They made it sound like Cindy was "run by liberal bloggers and publicity seekers...that she herself was being used and he said about the last protest whre hundreds of thousand took time to go to DC: "The numbers aren't important and the protest was overshadowed by Kartina in New Orleans..." To John King and CNN the "numbers aren't important.

Any hope for CNN to not be a tool of the Bush machine is probably not realistic. I noticed after Katrina where they seemed to wake up...that
once Rita came along and was over, they went back to their whoring ways with their "Situation Room" with Blitzer--their new show which Blitzer presides over and is turning into entertainment when Cafferty isn't there.

1. It's a shame you turned it off, I am enjoying it.
Showing lot of vets not liking Bush.

2. I couldn't watch it after that. You are saying it got better?
I figured given the first part it would go into families happy their kids gave their life to "bring freedom and democracy to the Iraqi's.

John King seemed dripping with sarcasm about Sheehan and yet when he introduced the next segment his voice seemed hushed and sympathetic.

I figured then it was time to "cut out."

3. I missed the first part
The part I caught was good. At the very end Jon King (paraphrasing)said that it is not all Americans are for this war, as you have just seen.

6. as if Cafferty was some paragon of journalistic ethics
instead of being a sad old hack pulling a curmudgeony O'Reilly routine that once in a while hits a vaguely appropriate target.

7. No.....he sure isn't....but he provides a sense of humor and
get's some good "everyman" digs in on that show in his "new role" as a counter to Blitzer's PNAC/NEOCON Doom and Gloom. I well remember when Cafferty played the curmudgeon conservative on their Morning in America or whatever the hell name that show was when it had Soledad O'Brian, Bill Hemmer (who has now gone to Fox) and Cafferty. I couldn't stand the three of them so didn't watch it. Cafferty must have imagined a career as an Actor at one time...because he did a "switch" when he joined "Situation Room." (Situation Room when Blitzer isn't there and the kids take it over is actually a good show...but Blitzer presides over it like a General when he's there.)
