Scott McClellan - what were they thinking?
I thought that if you were going to do the fascism thing, you had to have a top-notch PR guy.

Who in their right mind would have this stuttering, sweaty, shifty-eyed, charisma-free, staggeringly insincere little toadman as their public face? It's like he's a character in a political farce (which I suppose is what he is).

What were they thinking?

4. I imagine they would have a hard time getting anyone to fill that job.
Anybody who's worked with them knows they lie every day in every way, and that the Press Secretary would have to explain their lies.

Puffy was probably the only one they could get to take the job.

12. You're making a false assumption
You say that Scotty was "being lied to again and again." He isn't being lied to. He's in on it. When he said that he spoke to Rove and others and was told they weren't involved, you didn't believe that did you?

Frankly, I doubt he ever asked anyone anything. He's just like the rest of the cabal, and thinks up statements like this and blurts them out. He's another non-stop liar.

7. The problem is finding people of ability without ethics
That's a high goal post to clear. Not everyone will sell their souls to the devil. It's almost always some knuckle-dragger elitist moron who hates women and has the fashion sense of Newt Gringrich. Thus, we have Scotty.

15. You're right! And that's why they've had such a tough
time finding people in this Bush administration. It also explains the unbelievable loyalty. They know they can't find people who are THAT corrupt on a coffee break. It takes some searching, by God.

Of course, they occasionally make mistakes, like hiring Paul O'Neill, and Joe Wilson.......

They're not ALL corrupt.

13.  doctors office..i said really loud. "those guys got to get a better liar
Edited on Sat Oct-29-05 01:56 PM by sam sarrha
"that guy just cant lie worth beans.. the other lier they had was a lit better.." lots of people laughed and nodded.. only a few harsh stares.. there were about 26 people in this big waiting room with a HUGE TV in it tuned to Faux..

I am pretty sure that the doctors had to put a tv in their waiting rooms tuned to Faux as part of the agreement for eliminating lawsuits for killing and crippling people and the elimination of bankruptcy.. being that that about 78% of all bankruptcy's are for medical expenses

14. Their Top-Notch PR Guys Work for Faux and CNN
Edited on Sat Oct-29-05 02:00 PM by AndyTiedye
What were they thinking?

That they don't give a flying feep about "briefing" the press corps.
It has become a meaningless ritual.
Faux and CNN and the networks will still put out whatever arrives in their fax machine from Karl Rove,
and they still have their Judith Millers to do ther same in the print media.

17. prolly the same thing they were thinking putting brother Mark ...
to head (destroy; weaken; corrupt) the FDA, and, now, Medicare ... no integrity is a BFEE family value ...

... MamaM, Carole Keeton Strayhorn (formerly McClellan; formerly Rylander) is Texas' Comptroller of Public Accounts (Strayhorn switched affiliation to the Republican Party in 1985).

She is currently married to jewelry designer and construction businessman Ed Strayhorn. ...

Her twin sons, Brad McClellan and Dudley McClellan are both attorneys. Brad is a former Assistant Attorney General for Texas, where he headed the state's workers' compensation section; and, is now his mom’s campaign manager. Dudley is Assistant General Counsel for the State Bar of Texas.

The Daddy is Barr McClellan who wrote "Blood, Money & Power: How L.B.J. Killed J.F.K."

just another dysfunctional family success story????
