I am starting a Helen Thomas fan club- want to join?

Just saw Helen Thomas on Late Night with Bill Maher. I have always been a fan of hers- but she was just awesome tonight on the show. A REAL reporter with wisdom, courage and intelligence. And she is very funny- even when talking about how no one in the white house likes her, and how she has to sit in the back now for press conferences (she sits in the front only for briefings). I just think she is the greatest. I wish more were like her.

She did say she thought the media was finally, slowly awakening from it's post-9/11 coma. I hope it is true!

She's a lovely person with a razor sharp mind. That's always a dangerous combination. Maybe that's why so many people adore her.

I can't search the archives now, or I would post my "I saw Helen Thomas tonight" post.
Basically she handled a pro-war/pro-bush man with dignity and intelligence during the question and answer session after her speech.
"Doesn't it make you angry that you were LIED to?" she kept saying to him when he asked her about the war in Iraq (after telling her that he didn't agree with her politics/he though she was a liberal).
