"Africans will have sex with anything that has a pulse" - repub candidate
(pardons ..but not for scooter...if this has been posted previously, archives are not working)

republican candidate for state delegate said this to a high school AP government class while explaining why there is so much AIDS in Africa (I think it is in Virginia)

http://www.connectionnewspapers.com/article.asp?article=58001&paper=62&cat=104

read the second major paragraph, the first paragraph contains his enlightened views about gays and lesbians.

turns out he is a "youth minister" so his comments are not surprising.

whatta nice guy eh?

PS- at the end of this article is a link to a follow up article where this guy attempts to explain himself. makes him look worse IMO.

This is what happens when people maintain their pre-judgements instead of clarifying them. Then, they project them on others and think they've answered their own questions.

50. Simple.. we have no media... they own the propaganda..
we cant even buy our way in... like moveon tried to buy ad time at the superbowl last year, they had the money but the network said no. As I've said a thousand times.. its the media, we have all the facts and clips and blatant statments we need to fill years of TV, but we have no major outlets. AAR is the biggest truth network out there, and happily they are growing... as the market for the truth grows.

fight propaganda.. BE the MEDIA!!!

Bizarre Sex Habits of The Extreme Right-Wing

"Hey, Alan, if you want to accuse me of having sex when I was a fool, I did everything that crossed my mind that looked like I..."

AC: "You had sex with animals?"

NH: "Absolutely. I was a fool. When you grow up on a farm in Georgia, your first girlfriend is a mule."

AC: "I'm not so sure that that is so."

NH: "You didn't grow up on a farm in Georgia, did you?"

AC: "Are you suggesting that everybody who grows up on a farm in Georgia has a mule as a girlfriend?"

NH: It has historically been the case. You people are so far removed from the reality... Welcome to domestic life on the farm..."

10. What a Butt munch!!!
Apparently no one has clued him in on the fact that many women and children are included in those statistics. Women that were RAPED and got the disease, and sadly passed it on to their unborn children--and the children are born with it.

There have been MANY published accounts of the horrible rapes in Africa. How women in these poor areas, are treated as nothing more than property. They are frequently powerless to fight off their attackers...

What a stupid sonovabitch!

So nice of him to pass on unfounded rumours and aid stupid stereotypes of other cultures and ethnicities. Fucker!

12. Craddock Ticketed 9 Times in 5 Years
Republican Chris S. Craddock, who is locked in a close race for a House of Delegates seat in western Fairfax County, has received nine traffic tickets in the past five years, including a citation last month for reckless driving, according to county records.

The 27-year-old youth minister was cited for nearly half the tickets he received in a three-month period in 2001, when he was cited three times for an expired registration and failure to obey a traffic sign. In addition, he has received three speeding tickets over the five-year period.

29. Why is this menace to society still allowed to drive?
I know in my State his driving privileges would have been terminated long ago. Virginia law must be somewhat more flexible I guess? More likely he has "friends" in places that can make things like this "disappear".
His automobile insurance rates must be astronomical! Or is insurance "optional" in Virginia?
This self proclaimed "youth minister" needs a little ministering himself, or perhaps a little time behind bars to cure his demonic driving habits. What a condescending little prick! :puke:

You guys have the "bomb". All we have is nothing. However, if you nuke Canada, the prevailing winds are going south. So, be very careful where you hit. I think, if the U.S. invades Canada, then there will be a third world war. As well, Canadians will fight back. We haven't done so, because it has been a passive invasion. You bring guns... be prepared for a very violent and bloody reaction.

28. This is a very, very stupid man.
Even setting the obvious racial slurs aside, which is no small fete, his ignorance of tribal people in Africa and gays everywhere is astounding. How do people like this ever rise to a level of State government? It must be that the people in his immediate vicinity that vote are as or more ignorant than he. :wow:

There are WAY too many stupid people in this country. I swear, this country is regressing in it's educational and spiritual knowledge. Some perverted substitute for knowledge and spirituality has been put in place by neo-conservative theocrats and the people are lapping it up like candy.

I'm almost scared to live in this country now. There are far too many people like this among us and the problem just seems to be getting worse. If they succeed in taking over total control of this country (and they're damned close now) I'm going to have to abandon the country of my birth for one of sanity and brotherhood. I cannot live in a country that stands for hatred, bigotry and stupidity.

Ace: "I didn't have a father figure growing up but we talk now and I'm not gay..but of course not many do the research..they make it up."

He never said that everyone without a father figure becomes gay. He just believes its one of three possible 'explanations'.

If all A's are letters, then all letters are A's. Right? =P

-------
ClintonTyree: Statements like you made typify the problem with the modern Democratic part.

Quote: "If they succeed in taking over total control of this country (and they're damned close now) I'm going to have to abandon the country of my birth for one of sanity and brotherhood. I cannot live in a country that stands for hatred, bigotry and stupidity."

If the purpose of the opposition party in a democracy is to leave the country instead of fighting to change it, then I'm afraid the definition of opposition is lost on me.

The only reason they are 'damned close now' is because of this prevailing defeatist attitude.

36. Wingnuts and gays
The religious wingnuts have to believe that homosexuality is a choice, a lifestyle, or a disease that can be cured. They are trapped into this position, because the Bible has condemnatory things to say about homosexuality. They cannot dispute what the Bible says. And to believe that homosexuals are born with that trait would be to blame God for creating something that He condemns.

Since I grew up in the South and was exposed to Bible Sickness very early, and still live in the South, I can tell you that fundamentalism is full of men who are closet cases. In some instances I am not sure that even they realize it. They probably squelch any feelings that they see as abnormal. This kind of thing creates a lot of intrapsychic conflict and probably leads them into their petty crusades against gay and lesbian people. Look for this trait in the many young men who seem less than masculine and are running around screaming about "the Lord" all the time. I am convinced that many of them go into church work precisely because they have leanings toward homosexuality and are fighting those feelings.

Most of us in the heterosexual majority, even in the South, take a "live and let live" attitude. Even most people in the churches used to follow that principle. But things have changed now. I guess many people are still open-minded and accepting in the churches, but thanks to the Jerry Falwells and Richard Land and other turds like them, the churches have been hijacked and are now in the hands of ignorant, vicious fanatics.

Edited on Sat Oct-29-05 10:58 AM by Iris
"Some students were so incensed by what they heard that they contacted Centre View because, although they're too young to vote, they wanted the general public to know how they felt."

"When we asked him about gay marriage, he said he believes nobody's born gay — they turn gay," said senior Natalie McLarty, 17. "He said, in his experience, from the gay males he's known, there are three ways to become gay: You don't have a father figure in your life, you have an abusive father figure or you have no loving support in your family."
"I was extremely offended because one of my relatives is gay, so that's an assumption he's making about my family," she said. "I don't know where he's getting his statistics, but I know a ton of people who are gay, and they have father figures and love and support in their family. He's young, and I don't know where he's getting these old-fashioned concepts."

"Added senior Erin Peterson: "He said, in some tribes, part of becoming a woman was having sex." She, too, said she heard the "pulse" comment and was surprised that he'd say such a thing: "I'm African-American, so I was a little shocked." Planning to major in International Relations in college, Peterson said she's researched this issue, too, and "a lot of studies say one of the reasons HIV turns into AIDS is because they're so poor and malnourished and can't afford medicines."
She said she was at the candidates forum Westfield's PTSA hosted the previous night, Oct. 13, but Craddock seemed "more relaxed and comfortable in front of us."

"Senior Kate Villars said she was "appalled at how incorrect I think his views were. To say people were gay because of their relationship with their father was, I think, a completely inaccurate generalization."
REGARDING CRADDOCK'S remarks about sex in Africa, Villars said, "I was completely taken aback. Our entire class — Democrats and Republicans alike — you could hear everybody gasping. There was complete silence; no one knew what to say. I went home and told my parents, and they were completely in shock."

Georgia Farm Boys. He admits to having had sex with a mule and other farm animals, and claims all Georgia Farm Boys do.

49. "...he wasn't worried about offending us." (us = minors under 18)

"She said she was at the candidates forum Westfield's PTSA hosted the previous night, Oct. 13, but Craddock seemed "more relaxed and comfortable in front of us. A lot of people in our class knew him because they volunteer for him, so it seemed like he wasn't worried about offending us. He didn't have a speech prepared and was very open. But I didn't see him saying that kind of thing to the audience the night before."

This piece of garbage was careful around that parents (the PTSA meeting) but shot his mouth off in front of a bunch of minors.

Chantilly, Virginia, you got some 'splainin' to do.

55. White and love Jesus
Can't forget that. As long as you call yourself a good, upstanding christian, there's no amount of 'facts' or 'truth' or 'pedophilia' or 'dead hookers' that can prove otherwise.

52. How low can some repubs go?
I keep thinking that repukes can't go any lower--but then one proves me wrong.

At least the kids and parents were smart enough to challenge it. In some repuke enclaves it would have gone unchallenged.

53. Sounds like we need a new term for "Craddock"
Something along the lines of "Santorum". "Craddock", noun. Someone who will screw anything with a pulse.

57. Typical "Young Fart" from the boring part of the county
That western part of Fairfax is rife with wackdoodles, it's heavily Repuke, its farther away from DC (which they are terrified of) than the rest of the county. That guy needs a Thai stick in a bad way!

59. Hey, now!
I live pretty far west in Fairfax County - about five miles or so from the Loudoun County line - and while yeah, I see a distressing number of W stickers on cars (then again, any number is distressing), we're not all provincial benighted rednecks.

Craddock seems to appeal to the young folks, for whatever reason. Our across-the-street neighbors moved from Indiana to shore up the Craddock campaign (of course, our particular neighborhood is jussst outside of the line, so our neighbors can't petition the neighborhood). The neighbors are all young, college age or younger. I guess that'd make some sense, since Craddock is, himself, young. It kind of makes me wanna cry for the future of our youth, though.

While I'd say that western Fairfax is more suburban and insulated than, say, Alexandria or Arlington, I think there are a fair number of liberals around here. My neighborhood alone (and it's a large one) is pretty diverse in its population, and one end of the neighborhood is lower-income. That end of the neighborhood, though, is very close to the school that serves as a polling place, and the parents at the school are very involved in their kids' lives, from the look of school events, and I imagine they vote, as well. And I can't imagine that many of the browner people in my neighborhood - and like I said, we're blessed with a marvelous diversity here - will be voting Republican.

I haven't been following Craddock, and there aren't any ads for him on TV. I know there are some other tight races around here, not the least of which is the gubernatorial race. I don't usually bother to research candidates, because I generally vote a straight ticket, as I will do in a couple of weeks. Craddock won't be on my ticket, but you can bet I'll be punching for Kaine. :)

I won't disagree with you that Craddock needs a Thai stick (and more), but don't paint all us western Fairfax folk with the same broad brush. I, too, wish I could justify swerving and crashing into every gas-guzzling overly-big SUV sporting a W sticker. We ain't all wackdoodles and Repukes (and I, for one, adore DC, though I ain't never, never driving in Georgetown at rush hour again).

62. mea culpa, you're correct, I made a generalization
...based on the chart of Bush voters around the No. VA area recently in the Post.
I'm glad to see you and others around you are proof that there is intellegent life out there.
I'm disappointed to hear that younger adults actually think that the repub mindset is OK. But I shouldn't be surprised, our neighborhood is very liberal, but there's a new "frat boy" neighbor who is a repuke robot. Somehow there seems to be a younger generation that hasn't a clue because they never knew better.

I don't blame you about never driving in Georgetown at rush hour again, I am working there these days, and the car stays at home!

61. Is it a requirement in Virginia
that you have to be as stupid as possible to run and be elected for public office?
