Photos from today: "Bush pauses while delivering a speech about the war"

U.S. President George W. Bush pauses while delivering a speech about the war on terror in Norfolk, Virginia, October 28, 2005. Vice President Dick Cheney's chief of staff and other top White House officials braced for criminal charges on Friday from the federal grand jury investigating the leak of a covert CIA operative's identity. Special counsel Patrick Fitzgerald has also zeroed in on Karl Rove, Bush's top political adviser, possibly for perjury. REUTERS/Kevin Lamarque

4. So, an awkward pause in the middle of a Bush speech
How is that any different than normal.

Oh, I get it. He got "choked up", because he just cares that much

5. ...and the way to show he cares is to finish the mission, blah blah blah

How many more of these "pre-screened, Bush-friendly, mostly military" audiences is he going to go through before he GETS IT?

I'm guessing he won't. It's a rhetorical question.

6. That's what really pisses me off
"The best way to honor the fallen is to carry out the mission."

Applause.

Yeah, great.

And just how do you propose we do that? And why haven't we done it already?

All you have done so far, "Mr. President", is arrogantly insist on keeping them over there in harm's way, with no proposed timeline or even anything remotely resembling a plan.

Your only plan is to "stay the course".

And so far, that has resulted in 2000 unnecessary American deaths.
