They tried this tactic when Kerry reorganized his campaign (and it almost did Kerry in), but Kerry was able to bounce back and now look at how successful his campaign is.

Perhaps it will be a good thing for Dean. I dunno, I have my doubts. Trippi always came across as a fighter and more than held his own against the obviously biased pundits. I hope he continues in some capacity with the Dean campaign.

Based on the rumors floating around, Dean is not taking the advice of his staff and wants to run the thing into the ground by trying to go into uber-attack mode and not concentrate on a few states instead.

This gives a glimmer on how much Dean would be a micromanager as President like Carter was. Maybe that's what Jimmy told him when Dean arrived at his doorstep without an invitation.
