Tweety: "People still like & trust Bush, even if things aren't going well"
Just now, live on MSNBC.

Trying to squeeze some positive data out of the latest poll numbers. Says Bush is WORKING HARD, into the Katrina area EVERY DAY, rebuilding, working HARD...

People are worried about gas. So they don't dislike Bush personally or distrust him, they're just worried about gas.

:silly:

1. The political/newspeople are so removed from the average
American, I wonder anyone listens or watches.

The inside the beltway class needs some reality slapping and/or jail time.

8. Which people does he mean? None of the ones I know
Everyone despises the Boy King.

Why doesn't Tweety just come out as a Republican? This stuff of being in the closet is so 90s.

9. How would he know this?
Or is it simple projection?

And why is he carrying water for Bush?

Sorry, Chris, but "like" and "trust"? What are you smoking?

15. His bosses tell hime to say what he says
Have you notice the news announcers how excited and loud they are when they announce polls on Tv (especially CNN) eg. at the % of people who think Bush is doing a good job and then they whisper so quietly at the end that a higher % are opposed to what he is doing!!!

12. Bottom line...Tweety set up camp with the enemy...
Enemies of DEMOCRACY! They have sold our country out and Tweety was right there beside them! The rat bastard wound up on the wrong side of this one...that's a fact! Actions have consequences.

Peace.

17. Unfortunately, both are reality based
The country is still split. What is good is your group is growing (I think from the data), while Tweety's is losing members.

18. I'm convinced that Tweety is either mentally impaired....or
is being blackmailed - I'm not kidding. This guy has freaked me out since 9/11. The way he would get glassy eyed when he would show Bush with the Bullhorn at Ground Zero-it's freaky I tell ya - FREAKY!!!!

Obviously people don't trust Bush according to the polls. Good grief! I bet not just a few philosophy professors are shaking their heads at him right now.

19. The old lawyer's adage
When the facts are against you, pound the law.

When the law is against you, pound the facts.

When the law and the facts are against you, pound the table.

"People like and trust Bush" is the blind date equivalent of "She has a wonderful personality."

20. Letterman commented last night that Smirk
didn't even know how to hold a hammer. I can't find the picture,
but Dave is right. Chimpie probably never held a hammer in his
hand before that photo op.

22. Yesterday on DU...
...someone referred to an old news item featuring Jimmy Carter and Habitat For Humanity. Carter showed how to completely sink a nail with three whacks of the hammer. Then the discussion turned to Bush and his method: "tappity, tappity, tappity, tap" with little dainty taps of the hammer.

He may be one mean-assed brush clearin' Mission Accomplished hombre, but when it comes to construction, he falls somewhere below the junior high school kid failing shop class.

21. Yeah, except for, you know, 98%+ of the black community,
about 60% of the total US population, and 80%+ of the world.

But hey, you know...popular.
