Clark vows a tough fight from a determined soldier
BEDFORD - Comparing himself to a gritty, determined soldier, Wesley Clark promised his pompom-waving supporters that he is ready to fight to be the Democratic standard-bearer across the country.

“Never, ever underestimate what a determined soldier can accomplish when he is fighting for his country,” Clark told the upbeat crowd.

Clark, who was locked in a tight race with John Edwards for third place in New Hampshire’s primary, appeared to be on the way to claiming third, leading Edwards by more than 800 votes with 95 percent of precincts reporting.

The 59-year-old novice politician and retired four-star Army general said the crucible of the New Hampshire election made him a “better, smarter, and even more determined candidate.”

You beat two incumbent Senators as the visiting team. Time for things to even up.

4. "Tonight we leave New Hampshire as one of the final four,”
A politician would have said I leave as one of the final three, leaving Edwards out. It shows what a class act Clark is.

12. Clark finished a distant third in support among veteran households
Perhaps he should have spend a little less time surroudning himself with the Michael Moores of the world and a little more time surround himself with soliders he's served with. Kerry is constantly surrounding himself with veterans. I just can't comprehend why Clark was so willing to cede the veterans vote to Kerry. Talk about strategic blunders.
