SBVT take their campaign against Kerry to Kerry web sites

AngryDemocrat, a DU poster, just reported that she got an e-mail from the SBVT group. They are beginning to contact Kerry supporter web sites and ask people to listen to their lies about not just Kerry but all the people who opposed the Vietnam War.

This shows that: the Smear Boat people have time to troll the internets and specifically attack web sites that support a specific individual against which they have a vendetta, and they are crazier than anyone thought.

John O'Neil was sauntering around the country before the 04 election and INSISTING that Kerry's unreleased war records contained an dishonorable discharge. He huffed and puffed about all of this circumstantial evidence that supported that this may be true! Oh, how he droned on and on--just a week before the campaign.

Well, well. Kerry released his records this year, and there was no dishonorable discharge. Nothing of the sort.

John O'Neil only shows up when John Kerry surfaces. John O'Neil is like the less-than brother who has always hated his more successful older sibling.

John O'Neil spends his life hating, attacking, lying and throwing loads of shit around--because he's an insecure, bloated, pathological LOSER.

The Globe has not been friendly to Kerry - nor were they on this. They printed the story on an interior page that said that his records were what he had on his web site during the campaign, except there was one additional page to his last Vietnam fitness report. Kerry did not have that page earlier. It gave him the highest possible rating and recommended that he be accorded accelerated promotion. On the front page they printed a story about his Yale grades which showed even someone as bright as he was couldn't head the political union, give enormous time to the debate team, play 4 sports, learn to fly a plane and get good grades.

The RW immediately argued that it was not everything - I think based on their being absolutely nothing negative. This shouldn't have been a surprise during the campaign, Sen Warner said he had been asked by Nixon to review Kerry's record (He was Secretary of the Navy). Whether the SBVT like it or not, he was clean.

what would that even mean? What he did was release them to the Boston Globe and 2 other papers. They verified that they were what Kerry had on his campaign web site. There were either 120 or 140 pages of records there. (Skillfully used by the John Kerry group to discover that he has hazel eyes.) He said then that these were the records he had except for medical records.

The medical records were opened to the press as a whole during the campaign, but were not put on the web site. This was an unprecidented release of records.

The Boston Globe has spent 22 years looking for a scandal - blowing up things, like Kerry is not Irish (even though he never said he was) and printing that on his application to the MA bar, he admitted to some speeding tickets. They have definitely never covered for him.

with legislation to help people hurt by Katrina, helping local/state candidates, and making a series of brilliant speeches. In addition, he is preparing a speech on Iraq (likely waiting till after the vote in Iraq on Oct 15). Which of these things would you prefer he not do to take time to really go after these people. All of these things are more important to the nation than these creeps.

I would question why these creeps filed this now. It's been a really long time since the events occurred. Zell Miller gave lots of the SBVT but with Bush re-elected there's just much call for one issue SBVT. The highly respected Senator has acted with grace and dignity and is working to help his country. Could this be an attempt to draw attention away from the imploding Bush administaration or to silence a strong voice? I just hope it doesn't keep Kerry from more important work.

The problem is that this is weak - they accuse Kerry of calling them right wing activists, which seems as good a definition as anything. The letter here seems to boil down to "I was a POW" & "I don't like VN war protesters". To which I say, if the war would have ended in 1968 (when the same terms later taken were offered) or in 1971 when Kerry protested, he wouldn't have been a POW. He is too blind to see that Johnson and Nixon hurt him, not Kerry.
