Bush 'encouraged' despite report on Iraqi troops
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20051001/pl_nm/iraq_bush_dc&printer=1

President George W. Bush sought on Saturday to dispel concerns about the readiness of U.S.-trained Iraqi security forces, declaring himself "encouraged" even though his top generals say the number of battalions that can fight insurgents without help has dropped.

"I'm encouraged by the increasing size and capability of the Iraqi security forces. Today they have more than 100 battalions operating throughout the country, and our commanders report that the Iraqi forces are serving with increasing effectiveness," Bush said in his weekly radio address.

Bush has said that creating Iraqi security forces able to defend their own country is a prerequisite to an eventual withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq.

One of the few measures the Pentagon has offered the public to judge the capabilities of Iraqi security forces has been the number of battalions that can go into combat with insurgents without the help of the U.S. military. During congressional testimony on Thursday, Gen. George Casey, top U.S. commander in Iraq, and Gen. John Abizaid, top U.S. commander in the Middle East, said the number of such battalions had dropped since July to one from three, out of the roughly 100 Iraqi battalions. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld sought to play down the new estimate on Friday, saying, "Its relevance is minimal."

2. He just says the same shit over and over again, time after time,
month after month, year after year. Somebody should sit down with his radio addresses and use the thesarus in Word to show how they keep regurgitating the same speech.

Why does anyone even ask Junior what he thinks?

He doesn't consider it his job to tell the truth to the American people. It's his job to sell us a war.

He's a liar. A con-artist. A propagandist.

His words do not mesh with reality.

I am actually smirking, because history will have Junior's own ridiculous words will be historical proof of his idiocy. History will have a field day with this puppet. Our young children and grandchildren--will sit in their history classes--learning about George Bush--and they will be laughing, shaking their heads and thanking their lucky stars that they didn't have to live under the rule of this lying buffoon.

After this war sinks deeper into discombobulation and finally fails--the pieces will come together and everyone will fully understand what we've been saying all along.

Junior will be lucky if he can get a table in an upscale restaurant.

Keep on talking, propaganda boy--your own lies will haunt you until the day you leave this planet.

18. Baghdad Bob
George is another Baghdad Bob.

How can he expect anyone to believe the situation in Iraq is improving, when clearly it's not? The more he talks, the more insane he sounds. He's desperate...clutching at straws. What a maroon, er moran.

19. Did someone explain to George that one is less than three?
Maybe they could borrow CNN's tin cups for illustrating Republican money laundering. I mean, you couldn't use three bottles of beer, because he wouldn't be focused on such irrelevancies as numbers.
