2. I hate to say it, but this vote did not matter much
I am glad that both Illinois sens saw the light, though. Thanks for this post, by the way.

The real battle will be for the O'Connor seat. I suspect Alberto will be pre-ordained. As the torture stuff continues to boil into the public eye, Bushie will want to protect him forever. A life time job would do just that.

11. good to see Obama voted no
I think there'd been a suggestion he wouldn't...

Hard to figure those that voted yes (ok, some I expect, like Lieberman and the Nelsons) but if Feinstein and Bayh vote no...

10. Me too.
Although he has yet to respond to any email or snail mail letters I've written.

Oops, my bad! He does send me an occasional letter with a little white envelope in it that only fits a personal check. I guess he feels that's an appropriate response to a Dem constituent for voting like a frickin' repuke. :puke:

16. I just sent an email
I previously received an email response from him, but it was a bs form email.

I just told him to switch to Republican if he's going to vote with them all the time.

12. this was a fight we couldn't win anyway
no matter what

and I'm glad that the party didn't waste its capital on it

the next seat is the one I'm much more worried about

with Roberts, we're trading one neo-con for another

big deal

Yes, I would have LOVED to have seen a more liberal justice named but we didn't get it

13. I think a few of the Nay votes are presidential jockeying positions.

That's if jockeying is a word. ;)

14. Does this list pretty much describe Beltway vs. Progressive Dems?
Seems to me the Dems could stand to learn a thing or two about standing together as a party sometimes!

This split is what has and will continue to kill us in elections.

I still respect him, though, because he didn't vote to authorize the Iraq War.

21. Turning the other cheek AGAIN! We need to shut Chimpy down!
Tomorrow, the Chimp will nominate Priscilla or some other numbnut. If ANY of the Democrats vote for her, they need to BE REMOVED.
