Senator Cornyn, repeating something over and over doesn't
make it true. Recently on CNN I saw Cornyn and I heard him say that "the tax cuts we put in place in 2003 have created millions of jobs." RUBBISH! In fact, Mr. Cornyn, it's a bald face LIE. Why do you lie Mr. Cornyn? Where are these jobs exactly? I don't see them and I am looking. Anyone else see them? Mr. Cornyn where is your proof? What kind of jobs are you talking about? I think you're a LIAR.

1. Hey John, I don't see any in my part of Texas....
where are you creating them? Alabama? I doubt it. Housing in west Texas is flat, jobs are flat and trending downward. What absolute shit from an absolute shit.

5. Wasn't * in the negative for creating jobs the last election?
At this point the unemployment figures are junk. They've been massaged so often over the last 5 years they're useless. Every month has been seasonally adjusted.

7. I should hope every month is seasonally adjusted.
I don't really see what your point is there...

In Bush's first term there were a net 119,000 jobs created.

Contrast that with Clinton creating 11.5 million in his first term, and even Reagan with 5.3 million in his first term.

13. Once upon a time on Xmas and summer were seasonally adjusted.
The job report is meaningless. As for creating jobs, if you subtract the jobs he lost he was negative during the last election. First president since Hoover I think. It was one of the Democrats points.

17. By the end of his first term there was a net 119,000 jobs created.
Through out most of the campaign however, he was behind.

However contrast those 119,000 with the numbers in my earlier post for Reagan and Clinton and see how pathetic it is.

9. He and Kay are part of the media campaign to resuscitate
President Smirk. He can always count on them to do so, whores that they are. They live in their own reality.

10. Yep, they make up their reality as they go along and they are
the only ones living in it. I think we should publicly humiliate and shame them by making this information public.

12. ALL of the job creation statistics they cite are crap and they know it!
I have read and believe that at least 250,000 new jobs have to be created each and every month in order to simply tread water and stay in place. This number is the number that is needed to absorb new workers into the workplace - people turning eighteen, people graduating from college, legal immigrants, etc.

Since they rarely if ever hit that figure, we have a great big, NET DEFICIT of jobs. It also does not address the people who have dropped off of the unemployment rolls or the Underemployed (I lost a 50,000 management job and have replaced it with a 20,000 service sector job) and the Overemployed ( I am now working 3 crappy minimum wage jobs to provide catfood for my cat and me)

And let's not even talk about the workers who have been ROBBED of their pensions ans overtime while the Bushies drove the getaway car!!

15. I know what you mean. I have been out of work since 10/2002
I have a college degree. I can't even find temp work which I was always able to find easily before this evil regime.

I am sorry to bear that you are having to work so many jobs just to make ends meet. That sucks.

16. You're right, except it is 150,000 to keep pace with population growth
not 250,000.

Clinton didn't even keep up with that standard if 250,000 a month is just population growth.

During Bush's term an anemic average of 27,500 jobs have been created each month.

To account for population growth, we are 6.8 million jobs behind since 2001.

14. Juan Gonzalez 2008 !!!! (for U.S. Senate)
This bastard (Cornyn) needs to go in '08!!! Unfortunately, it's Texas, so there need to be a lot of things that fall into place to get rid of Cornyn, including a strong Democratic challenger and a Democratic presidential nominee who will help narrow the gap in Texas (and aid Garcia in defeating incumbent Senator Cornball).
