Poll question: Are you offended by 'support my candidate' threads?
Do you find the calls to desert your candidate and support Candidate X offensive at this early date?

1. No, I make my own choices but listen to what others say.
Respectfully, it's not that big of a deal to me.

4. Respectful is one thing.
I tend to resent the same argument being SPAM-ed in my face a dozen times in one night offensive, however.

3. Yes. Especially when the thread title talks about "uniting."
I mean, holy cow, how low can you go? "Unite, pick my candidate!"

6. This is not the Republican Party!
In the GOP, a small cabal of insiders choose the candidate they are going to back even before the primaries begin. This cabal of party hacks gets very angry and irritated whenever the primary voters refuse to fall in line behind their candidate. They hate contested primaries. They prefer a coronation!

We are not like the Republicans, or are we?

This isn't a horserace...the big fishies eat the little fishies until there's only one big fish left. It's the law.

8. Other
It's one thing to argue that your candidate is the best. That's politics.

Pulling what A CERTAIN OTHER POSTER tried to pull is inexcusable.

11. Support Bush, if you don't the Terriers win!
"Support X or Bush/Rove/Skull&Bones/MilIndusComplex/Corp America/Trial Lawyers/Freepers win(s)!"

Yes its bad logic. But it shouldn't offend you.

13. Hey Padraig!
Are you feeling all better? Doing OK?
Yes, it offends me. I can make up my own mind. It is one thing for someone to mention it in the middle of a thread but for them to start an entire thread just clutters up the board. Why would anyone think that others can't think for themselves? Argue all you want and most of us are fine but we will never lock step in this party.

21. Yes, people should decide
People should stay with their candidate until their candidate says otherwise.

Alot of people will never support my candidate. I'm beginning to have a sinking feeling alot of people will actively seek to destroy my candidate even if it destroys their lives in the process. Nothing I can do about that I guess.
