OK, How do we get Clark to stick it
Edited on Tue Jan-27-04 10:22 PM by in_cog_ni_to
to the MEDIA???? He HAS to go on the offense. It's so OBVIOUS they want to destroy this man and he CANNOT let them continue on the same path as the last 2 weeks. We ALL saw the pundits tonight and they HATE Wes! They want him out....he has to nip it in the bud...right here and now. How do we get him to do that? He can't remain the "nice" guy anymore. Any opinions? Suggestions?

Go Wes!

1. My Suggestion
is a full out frontal assault everytime those traitors of the American people try their crap. Bombard them with emails. As many as we can from as many people as we can all at once. Maybe we could form some sort of watchdog group that can alert us when to hit back. Just a thought

3. This is tricky... I think it would be best many hi profile supporters
start speaking out. He sort of has to stay above the fray, but clearly needs to call them on their BS DURING his interviews...

16. That's a thought!
Send Charlie Rangel out after the pundits. He's good. Who else would be a good spokesperson? Michael Moore WOULD have been before the AWOL thing. :( Bill Clinton? :)

7. I like that idea.
I mailed 5 emails out just yesterday to pundits who spent the entire day making snide rude remarks about Wes. HE needs to do something himself. He needs to call a press conference and tell the American people what is going on, call the media out on their bullshit!....they need to know that the pundits are out to get him. He needs to take down every pundit that throws STUPID questions at him. He should refuse to discuss anything but his POSITIONS! He must make an offensive move on the media himself!

Go Wes!

4. FOX TV said he was "sinking like the Hindenburg".....
He might want to remind them, in a humorous way of course, that th Hindenburg hasn't crashed yet! Just add the comment in his speeches in the next week. Because most of the media are cowards when they are called on their little tricks.

They wouldn't know the truth if it hit them in the face. We should stop wasting time over them. To have them diss Clark is a complement. I hope he stands firm against them.

I wouldn't give a crap, but it's ALL of them! MSNBC, CNN, Faux, NBC, CBS, ABC....all of them. They want him out.

19. I hope their attempts to dismiss Clark
back fire big time.

The behavior of the press and their blatant biases need to be made a major issue. I am tired of airhead news readers bashing anything or anyone that resembles a democrat or opposes their anointed one GW Bu$h. This goes for their treatment of all the other democratic candidates too, not just Clark.

9. Very wise advice. If he looks like he is mad, they will say he can't
handle the pressure. He needs to be careful, take a few deep breaths and talk about the future and his plans for it. He is a smart man with good ideas. He should go to Clinton for help. The master of politics.

6. Clark can't do anything. WE have to do it.
Many of you like e-mail. I like the telphone. If you're a good bulshitter you can at least get to a producer, and if, like me, you are a little off, there is something oddly cathartic about telling some poor 25 year old Hardball producer what a lying sack of shit her boss is.

11. Remember that old West Wing
where Barlett kept getting hammered until someone on his staff finally figures out "Let Bartlett be Bartlett"?

What turned me on to Clark was he early unprogrammed appearances and his Town Hall meetings where he speaks from knowledge and experience and his own quiet passion. That needs to come out when he deals with the like of Wolf.

He needs to relax and go for the juggular with these guys. He doesn't have to trash the other candidates but he does have to go on the offense when he's being interviewed by the press.

12. Q&A
Edited on Tue Jan-27-04 10:53 PM by NRK
Q: Is it unethical to let someone who introduces you call Bush a deserter?
A: I think it's unethical to deny anyone their First Amendment rights.

Q: Do you think Bush is a deserter?
A: I don't know. Maybe if we had an investigative journalist in the building, we could get to the bottom of this.

21. He has to steer the direction
of the conversation when he's being interviewed. He did a great job on MTP on Sunday, Tim kept asking him about Michael Moore and Clark kept getting in so much more information about himself into his responses. It was excellent, he has to keep that up.

22. Remind the viewers of the pundits' motivations.
Well, one of them, anyway:

"I understand your desire to try to take me out of the running. People like you, Wolf, who make maybe half a million a year, are going to have to give back the Bush tax cuts under my administration. What I'm asking you to do is to do the right thing, and not hand down the national debt to our grandchildren."

Q: So, when are you dropping out?
A: When you stop beating your wife. Listen, I've been in uphill battles before. I'm no stranger to danger.

24. Send your resume to Clark04 ASAP!!!
I like your responses! I practically spit beer all over the monitor reading that!

Of course, if Clark uses any of them, he'll never get any kind of love from the media.

But to dream. Ahhh!

28. The elephant in the room...media consolidation
Edited on Wed Jan-28-04 03:56 PM by NRK
Take any blatant attack and turn it around by exposing the motivations behind it.

"When I'm president, companies like yours, Wolf, who try to monopolize the message by buying up all the stations, are going to be forced to have a fire sale. So in that light, your leading questions make sense, and I think people can see what your motivations are."
