The Primary Process -
Re:minorities, etc.

This was alluded to on the "Democracy Now" Program this evening - that here we have the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primaries where:

"Minority groups account for one-fourth of the people in the United States but only about 6 percent of Iowans."

and New Hampshire is a lot less diverse than that.

Does the process bother other people?

Couldn't there be a better system - where states drew out of a hat when their primaries were or something?

Or are we just stuck with this process and have to live with it?
