UN's reaction to Bolton

recently I read an article telling how the UN said Bolton was well organized, forceful, etc., etc. in his dealings at the UN.

It amused me to see what the UN delegates were doing.

there is a process that can be used on bullies. I don't know what it is called in the psych. business, but it goes like this:

take a bullying, mean husband jawing at his wife about her short comings. instead of the wife denying the undeserved condemnations, and the argument goes on and on to maybe violence, the wife agrees with the bully. this takes the wind out of his snarls and frustrated he shuts up.

it seems this is what the UN is doing.

(I'm sure someone else could explain this process better then me)

anyhoo I admire honest diplomacy and honest diplomats.

3. He appears to be a conscientious worker
and has toned down the bullying, but the so-called "red lines" and unlimited US demands are vintage Bolton.

I'll be really impressed when he feels compelled to deliver a response to Kofi Annan's observation that the Iraq war is illegal under the terms of the UN charter.

4. The Brits asked Condi Rice to rein Bolton in.
Maybe that did some good.
