Geraldine Ferraro was the 1st female vice-presidential candidate (with walter mondale against reagan and bush) and it was the dems who did it!! Yeah!

i'm almost positive there have been female presidential and vice-presidential candidates from 3rd parties prior to ferraro.

from colorado to idaho a few years ago (lived in CO since I was 2yrs) but still consider myself a CO person and long to return someday ( if I can get a job).

Hillary Clinton will be on a ticket in either 2008 (if we win) or 2012 (if we lose), so it will be Dems. Besides, successful women scare many in the GOP.

Heck, there are quite a few who would like to see Mary Landrieu on the ticket this year. I'm all for that.
