We were doing the dishes for part of the speech, so he must have slipped that one right past me. I'd give any reporter a shiny nickel if they will ask Bushy or Snottie the following: "Mr. President, would you please detail for us the first time, the last time, or anytime in between when you were hungry, homeless, and didn't know where your next meal was coming from? Not just at an inconvenient distance from cook or really, really hungry, but destitute and staring starvation right in its hollow eyes?

I know that when you sit on the steps of a porch where a home once stood, or sleep on a cot in a crowded shelter, it is hard to imagine a bright future. But that future will come.
