Kerry Victory Speech - Taking Offensive OMG
Edited on Tue Jan-27-04 08:46 PM by Magic Rat
Kerry is taking the offensive and going on first. This is a ballsy move for Kerry.

I don't know whether to be estatic or worried about this move.

Kerry knows he's got a bullseye on his chest and know he's essentially telling the rest of the field to "bring it on."

Wow.

1. Smart, get as much free coverage as possible (First, First, First)
They won Iowa and NH with percentages in the high 30's both time. It's a convincing victory and they are the camp to beat. My Kerry vs. Edwards race is shaping up.

11. The real JFK is spinning in his grave
Seeing Kerry use the JFK title is a disgrace to the one and only JFK.

10. yup, for me the difference in campaign styles
Is that they are reversing.

Kerry was supposed to be the Democrat who was rich and well fueled with cash for a big campaign.

Then Howard Dean raised a boatload of dough and keeps spending it on tons of tv ads which don't do anything but turn people off.

Dean gets out voters. But he's not going to ever get enough to win any one particular state. The polls showed that most of Dean's support came from people who made up their minds over a year ago.

Kerry will keep winning because he's winning. And Kerry winning the first two states helps him tremendously. Make no mistake, this hurts Dean. Losing by 10 is big. Losing by 18 in a state you practically lived in for two years was bad. But losing by 10 to the state that neighbor's yours is worse.

The Dean army will keep marching on, as they SHOULD, because they've been the best thing that's happened to this party since the New Deal.

They MADE Kerry capable of beating Bush, by making him remember why he got into politics in the first place. To fight.

If Dean wasn't in the race, Kerry would have been a lazy frontrunner. And probably, have turned out like Mike Dukakis or Walter Mondale. But Dean lit a fire under Kerry and made him sharper and more focused.

For that I'll be eternally grateful, and probably donate to Dean's campaign.
