1. I wish Lieberman and his supporters well
The man has a very long history supporting liberal causes. While he wasn't on my list of current favorites, much of what is RIGHT about America has been promoted and supported by Joe Lieberman over the last several decades.

4. As a CTer
While I don't like a lot of his policies now, he has done a whole lot of good for this state. His nod for VP brought back Dem pride we hadn't had nationally since Abraham R. and Lowell when he was a Senator.

And for all the Joementum jokes we made...he isn't doing that bad. I wouldn't be shocked to see him finish top 3 in SC.

19. Actually
By Good Old Joes Record, his rating as a liberal, fighting for democratic party issues is only a tad behind John Kerry's. with Kerry getting a lifetime liberal record of 96 percent and Joe coming up at 93 percent, The Sierra Club rated them with the same numbers for Joe.

Nothing ticks me more than people who have attacked Joe for "conservatism".

There are few members of congress who have fought harder and with more determination for the Democratic Party's cause than Joe Lieberman. I am glad he did better than his polling indicated, and I hope he hangs in.

5. Joe Lieberman: Man of Integrity and Virtue
I may not agree with everything Senator Lieberman says, but one thing is undeniable: Lieberman is a man of wit and wisdom, integrity and independance. His work on Israel has also been unmatched.

Best wishes, Joe. This may not be your presidential year, but I see many more days of public service for you.

6. I wish Lieberman and his supporters well
He has a longer, more liberal, voting record than he is given credit for by many Democrats.

10. Best wishes.
Just want to say I admire Sen. Lieberman for his integrity and conviction, even if I don't always agree w/him on the issue. He is a principled man, and one who has done a lot for the country. His environmental record is stellar.

12. I hope he continues to serve CT well!
Perhaps he should run for Governor now that Rowland is going off to that special place in a correctional facility reserved for corrupt, greeedy pukes.

That being said, it really looks like it's time for us dems to coalesce around Kerry!

18. Lieberman is a little too conservative for my taste-
but he put his butt on the line for the sake of our shared country and party-for that I am grateful.

God bless Joe and thanks for the contribution to the debate.

20. Lieberman supporters!
Your candidate is a fine public servant who keeps on keepin' on. And you, his supporters, have stuck with your candidate in spite of the flak you've received in this forum and elsewhere. I'm glad this is a big-tent party because that's what grows ideas (and wins elections.) I hope you stick it out with your guy, and whatever happens, let's agree to send Bush-Cheney back to the oil patch in November!

22. Best of luck to Joe and his supporters
He is a real asset to this country and if things had gone differently 3 years ago, we would be calling him Vice President Lieberman.

I love his smile and his sense of humor. Good thoughts to all. Looks like I'll be seeing you all next week.

23. Hey, Joe can't be all bad...
just look at how classy his wife is! Seriously, I saw a minute of her on :puke: Imus this morning and there she was, speaking with measured, thoughtful words, and Imus had the crass nerve to ask her if she was on drugs. I'm sure she was appalled - I sure was!

I didn't get to hear Joe's speech tonight, we were at a bar with about 60 or 70 Clark supporters (including the Albanian folks) and things were sort of loud. But I'm assuming that he gave a great speech. He's been pretty funny lately, that's for sure!

I hope that all is well for him and his family and supporters, and we'll see you next week in the next round! Good Luck
