I always make it a point to ask folks if I can steal a graphic - it's the right thing to do.

Here's a suggestion for a graphic:

George (bent coathanger) Bush, with the "W" being a coathanger. I haven't seen this graphic before, so consider it yours.

4. Last year I Photoshopped this graphic for Atrios....

A few months beofre I started my own blog, I made this "photoshopped" version of a news photo for the Atrios blog. It's Bush signing the badly named "Partial Birth Abortion Act."

It's very telling:



Notice they are all white, conservative, Xtian, old men.

Not a single minority, female, or member of any other religion in that lot. Very telling indeed!

8. Now, It is Really Getting Threatening

Wow, very grim. This is getting really serious and threatening. If we had just had a real press, rather than a corporate media guarding itself, all these things might have been kept up on and exposed for the people to react to, as they happened. Instead, we have a media still covering up for Bush and dutifully attacking Democrats, and it is all getting too late. I used to worry that younger kids--teenagers, etc.--did not understand the meaning and importance of "the coathanger" as an instrument of oppression and death before legal abortions. Now I fear, really fear, that they will find out for themselves soon enough.

All the warnings, from neo-cons like Catherine Crier--and I have been listening to, or actually avoiding, her annoying voice laughing and jeering at liberals and Democrats for years--suddenly "waking up" too late, weird, like rats jumping a sinking ship but doing nothing to help. If this bastard is confirmed, then it won't matter what "the people" think about anything anymore--we will just be plowed under like somebody underneath Laura Bush's car when she is out driving.
